Design Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and manufacturing interface for valvetrain and timing drive components. • You will work closely with our team to develop innovative solutions for gasoline engine components. • Resolve technical issues based on engineering analysis of complex mechanical systems. • Plan and coordinate test execution, monitor progress, and results. • Analyze test and measurement data creating summaries with data-based conclusions and make recommendations to the team. Required Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or equivalent. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with design and manufacturing of powertrain components. Valvetrain or timing drive preferred. • Understanding of valvetrain/timing drive components and related manufacturing processes. • Experience in selecting materials and manufacturing methods for mechanical components. • Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience. • Demonstrated understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of complex mechanical systems. Automotive Technician Specialist

Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic Specialist Description: We are seeking a skilled vehicle mechanic to join our team in Owosso, US. As a contract position, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various vehicle systems. Requirements: • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques. • 5 years of automotive repair experience. • Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical issues. • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and explain vehicle issues. • Attention to Detail: Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are performed accurately. • Time Management: Efficiently manage time to complete tasks within deadlines. • Regularly perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy objects. • Ability to work in various positions, such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. • High school diploma or equivalent. • Certification from a recognized automotive training program (e.g., ASE certification). • Valid driver's license. Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - Valvetrain Development About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Owosso, US. As a Design Release Engineer for Valvetrain components, you will be responsible for engineering activities related to development of gasoline engine Valvetrain and Timing Drive components. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement design solutions for Valvetrain and Timing Drive components. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, improve products, reduce costs, and address other concerns. • Interact with various departments, including Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Engine Plants, Design Group, and Parts & Service. • Travel to engine plants and suppliers may be required. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school or equivalent. • At least 5 years of experience in designing and manufacturing powertrain components, preferably Valvetrain or Timing Drive. • Understanding of Valvetrain/Timing Drive components and manufacturing processes, such as steel stamping, machining, grinding, heat treatment, etc. • Knowledge of product development documentation, like DFMEA and DVP&R. • Understanding of Mechanics of Materials, Engine cam timing, CAE Analysis, and GD&T. • Experience in selecting materials and manufacturing methods for mechanical components. • Ability to author system/component level requirements. • Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience. • Strong oral and written communication skills. • Project management skills/experience. • Demonstrated understanding of structural analysis and failure modes of complex mechanical systems. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Working experience in creation and execution of validation plans. • Critical character traits to ensure success: Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving. • Working experience with 3D cad programs, preferably Siemens NX.
