Position Summary: • Candidate must have Mechanical Engineering knowledge to create and modify 3D models and drawings. Be able to generate and maintain assembly drawings and inspect manufacturing lines for quality standards. Work with Certification organizations to certify and document product compliance as needed. Understand quality testing methods and knowledge of quality processes for manufacturing. Must be familiar with problem solving tools, data analysis, root cause identification, and corrective/preventative action. Performs inspections and sets quality assurance testing models for analysis of raw materials, work in process, and finished products; collects and analyzes production and inspection data. Utilizes data to investigate causes for nonconformance and plays an active role in problem resolution. Communicates with customers and coworkers across departments to resolve issues. Actively participates in continuous improvement activities and is a champion for process improvements. Implements and maintains quality system requirements and written processes; maintains records for ISO compliance and internal reporting; coordinates outside inspectors and ISO auditors as appropriate. Conducts employee training and other presentations as required. Occasional travel may be required. Essential Skills and Experience: · Bachelor of Engineering required in Mechanical Engineering. · 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience required. · 5+ years of high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred. · Experience creating and editing SolidWorks and AutoCAD models and drawings. · Must be successful setting quality processes into place in a meter manufacturing environment. · Must have experience working with contract manufacturers. · Six Sigma certification at the Green Belt level with Lean DFSS strongly desired. · Must have experience setting up quality control programs. · Experience leading an ISO certification process is desired. · Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Duties and Responsibilities: Task Percentage of Time Develop/maintain a quality system and documents. Design framework and approach for automated test processes for all manufacturing stations within the manufacturing plant. Establish written processes for each station that will establish traceability and accountability to each employee within the manufacturing process. Testing process will assure that all equipment shipped exceeds the industry testing standards. All processes and traceability will be established to meet ISO standards. 20% Work with the Engineering department to create new product designs and generate assembly drawings. Implement and maintain Engineering processes as needed. Work on certification and documentation projects. 10% Work directly with suppliers to ensure consistent quality of components & raw materials; Identify and implement materials and processing alternatives for Value Improvement and Warranty initiatives 10% Develop testing techniques and equipment to ensure that final products are produced to meet market specifications and quality requirements 10% Recommends changes or improvements in the products by analyzing and evaluating data from the field concerning products and product applications. 10% Lead the process of securing ISO certification for the manufacturing plant. 10% Lead and guide the manufacturing team through the lean manufacturing process 10% Prepares reports and documentation updates. 5% Perform Failure Analysis and lead efforts to resolve issues effectively and efficiently 5% Utilize technical expertise and problem-solving skills for manufacturing and sourcing issues 5% All other duties as assigned 5% Company DescriptionThe Minol-ZENNER Group is one of the leading service providers and equipment manufacturers for consumption-based energy cost billing in the world.
