Pro Mechanical - Quality Technician

About the Role: The Pro Mechanical - Quality Technician plays a critical role in ensuring that all mechanical components and systems meet stringent quality standards. This position is responsible for conducting detailed inspections, testing, and verification of mechanical parts and assemblies to guarantee compliance with industry regulations and company specifications. The Quality Technician collaborates closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve product reliability and safety. By maintaining meticulous documentation and quality records, this role supports audit readiness and regulatory compliance. Ultimately, the Quality Technician helps safeguard operational integrity and contributes to the overall success and safety of Pro Mechanical’s projects at the FPC location. Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 2 years experience in quality control or quality assurance within mechanical or industrial industries. • Proficiency in creating, reading, and interpreting mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications. • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. • Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly and accurately. Preferred Qualifications: • Certification in Welding Inspection (e.g., AWS CWI). • Experience working in mechanical and industrial environments. • Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, or ASTM related to mechanical quality. • Proficiency with computerized quality management systems. • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis methodologies. Responsibilities: • Perform thorough inspections and testing of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. • Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions accurately and timely in quality management systems. • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of defects and recommend improvements. • Monitor and maintain calibration of inspection tools and equipment to ensure measurement accuracy. • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols. • Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Must communicate well as a member of the quality team. Assist other quality team members as needed and request/receive assistance as soon as an issue is recognized. Pro Mechanical - Leadman

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Responsible for overseeing the teams engaged in construction activities; and planning, coordinating, assisting in cost control, and ensuring a safe work environment. • Entails operating and promoting safe working on site and implementing company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality. • Recommend repairs, supervising the maintenance of tools and equipment, and determining work procedures. • Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings; and prepare reports on project time and equipment. • Involves interpreting plans, Isometric drawings, and sketches of proposed structures in terms of the relevant specifications. • Organize and monitor the work of subcontractors on site, and perform equipment and material management duties, and ensure the completion of works on time and within budget. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Conduct jobsite orientation and train and mentor new workers. • Instruct and train employees and ensure the safety of the workers. • Properly follows all state and federal agencies safety procedures; brings problems to the attention of the project manager, safety director or HR manager. • Promotes and complies with all company safety policies and procedures, including crewmember discipline and documentation. • Enforces all client-required safety policies and procedures. Conduct weekly safety meetings. • Daily reporting of time, progress and materials; significant project facts, events, and conditions must be reported. Maintain professional attitude with owners, inspectors, public and company personnel. • Proficient at reading Isometric drawings. • Ability to motivate workers, lead by example, and communicate effectively. • Ability to compute basic numbers, read scales and use simple fractions. • Ability to work well under pressure and within project timelines.
