Automation Engineer-Food & Beverage Production

Job Description: THe Company is currently looking for an Automation Engineer who has a demonstrable PLC or PCS background and wants to get involved in providing support for projects from conception to startup. The role will require the usual Automation competencies as listed below but what makes this position unique is how your Automation knowledge and experience will be used throughout a project lifecycle. The successful candidate must • have a passion for applying computer system technologies to improve project execution outcomes • be interested in learning new approaches and have an open mindset • be interested in working in teams that are across the globe Job Responsibilities: • Working with PLCs/HMI and or PCS software • Designing, developing, programming and testing systems • System monitoring, debugging and troubleshooting operational problems • Specify, design and build programs to be installed on the equipment • Modify existing programs from Engineering requirements • Provide technical support in developing and improving processes • Review, update and/or generation of GMP lifecycle documentation such as User Requirement Specifications (URS), Functional Specifications (FS), Design Specifications (DS) etc. • Knowledge of minimal testing requirements and aid with authoring these tests where needed • Supporting operations on sites or remotely as required Qualifications / Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience • Direct experience and knowledge of PLCs/SCADA and or PCS software (min 4 years) • Detail oriented, self-motivated and a team player • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment • Ability to perform critical analysis of situations and provide recommendations • Problem solving, creative thinking, and interaction with upper management and design teams • Experience in pharmaceutical is plus • Ability to work independently with structured guidance • Possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills • Ability to uphold company values and demonstrating honesty, integrity, pride, accountability, teamwork, and commitment
