Mechanical Designer Aeroprobe Corporation is looking for a self-motivated Mechanical Designer. In this position, the engineer will work closely with the Manufacturing and Sales teams to design and develop precision, high quality components relevant to the aerospace industry. Experience working with SolidWorks (or other CAD software) in a professional capacity is required. Responsibilities: • Create form and fit designs/drawings for customer approval • Create and review detailed manufacturing assembly and component drawings • Support the development of fixtures and equipment for internal facilities and machinery • Create and review dimensional quality control forms • Create assembly/work instructions • Interface with suppliers as needed to procure outsourced parts, equipment, and materials • Perform engineering analyses and calculations to support design and development work Required: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent degree/work experience) • Design for manufacture experience utilizing CAD software • Ability to learn quickly • Detail-oriented and well-organized • Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team • Excellent problem-solving skills • Clear communicator and responsive Desired: • SolidWorks CAD software experience • 2+ years of relevant work experience (internship and educational experience will be considered) • Working knowledge of machining, cutting tool selection, and CNC operations • Experience with manual machining • Familiar with structural analysis methodologies Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to sit for long periods, walk, talk and hear.
