GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION R-V Industries & subsidiaries is a design and build manufacturer of custom industrial process equipment. We engineer to order, as well as build to print, a wide variety of specialty equipment. Most of our equipment is built in-house by our own in-house fabricators, machinists, mechanical and electrical assemblers. There are design standards to follow and manage for this specialized equipment, continuous improvement initiatives to champion, and custom equipment to engineer and design. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES • Champion our use of the SolidWorks software for your own personal development with the goal of maximizing our project execution efficiency and sales support potential. • Assist and / or perform site inspections of existing equipment products for reverse engineering or for the purpose of new products, project execution, problem resolution, R&D, etc. • Be able to apply fundamental engineering principles in the design, selection and application of our products and services. • Be able and willing to travel globally when necessary • Responsible for the PO and specification review and all pertinent technical documentation required to build, assemble and test the equipment. This includes drawings, component specifications, bills of materials and procedures. • Assist Sales, Project Managers, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, Testing and Installation with all technical issues related to the contract. • Communicate with our customer’s technical personnel in all matters related to design along with any other pertinent technical requirements. • Review project specifications, digest those specifications for manufacturing use, and create Bills of Materials with all pertinent technical requirements defined for purchasing. • Ownership of all documentation related to the technical aspects of the products and any individual contract. • Execute project from a budget and schedule standpoint for all technical tasks.
