Engineer, Mechanical Design

Ghost Robotics is the industry leader in legged robotic systems that not only help our customers solve complex operational, national security, and technical challenges to save lives, reduce harm and improve outcomes. This position will be reporting into the Head, Mechanical and be working closely with a fast-moving team delivering next generation legged robotic solutions to our customers worldwide. We are looking for a candidate who is self-motivated, knowledgeable, has a solid work ethic, can learn quickly, and execute under demanding timelines. Key Duties • Oversee the entire life cycle of the mechanical design process, including designing, developing, testing, improving, and implementing. • Support the design and development of mechanical systems for the company's products. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as manufacturing, electrical, and software, to implement mechanical designs effectively. • Manage the design, drafting and prototyping process. • Conduct regular tests to identify opportunities for improving components. • Utilize Solidworks to create accurate mechanical designs. • Use thermal FEA to understand system performance in the design stage. • Creates detailed technical drawings. • Knowledgeable on Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and familiar with applying principles to mechanical designs. • Troubleshoot problems and devise solutions to resolve them efficiently. • Support the development of internal controls and processes. • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in the mechanical design spectrum. • Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements 3-5 years minimum experience at an established integration, robotics, consultancy, or product firm. • Thorough knowledge of engineering, manufacturing and quality best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical counsel to stakeholders. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Advanced SolidWorks expertise. • History of working on complex mechanical systems and multi system integration. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong supervisory and leadership skills. • Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders under stressful environments. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Familiarity with FEA, and physical tools is helpful. • Experience in utilizing 3D printing and other rapid prototyping tools. • Familiarity with MS Suite and Google Workspace is helpful. Additional Experience a Plus: • Design experience to meet intrinsically safe requirements (ATEX and IECEx) • Design experience for MIL-810G • Familiarity working in a Scrum environment is helpful. • MTBF analysis and data collection • Thermal FEA analysis • Programming (C++, Python) • Experiencing managing departmental projects. Mechanical Designer (SMR) - Now Hiring

SMR-160, selected for the Department of Energy's Risk Reduction project, is designing an unfailingly safe and secure source of clean energy from nuclear fission. SMR-160 is member of the Holtec International family, a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power generation sectors of the energy industry. Come join a growing multidisciplinary team of designers and engineers designing the next generation nuclear power plant. The Designer models and creates drawings of components and structures that are part of the SMR-160 plant. The models and drawings will provide the necessary input data for analysis and licensing documents needed to license and construct the first SMR-160 plant. The Designer must be detail oriented and eager to learn new skills to efficiently complete all assigned tasks. The designer role could be filled by a wide range of backgrounds - an industry experienced designer, a degreed engineer who has a passion for designing, someone with an associate's degree related to designing. Specific Areas of Responsibility: • Execute design activities: CAD, design for manufacturability, and technical documentation. • Prepare and review engineering models and drawings. • Create or improve concept designs based on an ambiguous set of requirements and develop them into mature designs by critical thinking, literature research, and interacting with team members from other disciplines and vendors. • Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors. • Support the preparation of design deliverables, presentations, and communicate design progress in stakeholder meetings. Minimum Requirements: • Associate degree in Drafting and Design, Computer Aided Drafting and Design, or closely related field. Or 2+ years of BS in engineering completed. • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD. • 5+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents. • Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated good judgment, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to act independently. • Ability to manage personal tasks and deadlines. • Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills. • Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810. Mid Mechanical Engineer (Site Support)

NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design of US Navy test facilities. This position will be based out of our office in Thorofare, NJ. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical system design development, manufacturing, and/or testing, preferably in propulsion systems or mechanical machinery. Candidate may also have experience in designing other mechanical projects, inclusive of mechanical fluid piping systems & large machinery. Job Responsibilities • Design CAD drawings and models • Review design requirements and establish analyses criteria. • Conduct and document analyses supporting the suitability of designs; make design recommendations with engineering sketches of concepts to address design issues. • Review and check engineering drawings of fluid systems, propulsion system structures and/or machinery structures. • Communicate with others on the project team and with the customer’s technical personnel. • Participate in internal design meetings and coordinate production with team lead. Minimum Requirements • Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance. • Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training Certification preferred but not required • Have 5 years of professional experience in mechanical engineering. • Work in the NDI office is required; however, work schedule flexibility may be provided upon request. • Have strong verbal and written communications skills.
