Maintenance Mechanic Full-Time days - Ontario, Oregon

Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Position Summary and Highlights: Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, Oregon is hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic to support the Engineering and Facilities team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility systems to ensure a safe and functional environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Schedule Information: Position is scheduled to work: 11am to 7:30pm Monday through Friday or 9am to 7:30pm Monday through Thursday Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related trade school or manufacturers training preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in plant and building maintenance or specific related trade required. 3-5 years of experience preferred. • Electrical/electronic schematic and diagram reading experience preferred. What You Will Do: • Maintains and repairs facility safety devices within assigned area to ensure on-going compliance with safety codes. • Performs entry level corrective and preventive maintenance on facility space, equipment, and systems in accordance with the following general guidelines: • Meets medical center’s Guiding Behaviors including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations. • Removal and replacement of electric motors drive belts and sheaves. • Maintains general knowledge of mechanics and other trades. • Follows maintenance manuals and troubleshooting guides • Completes construction and repair work in areas of carpentry. • Assists with the completion of scheduled PM’s on all components related to facility services. • Assists with daily, weekly and monthly rounding schedules. • Rotate on a “on call” schedule. Completes other duties as assigned. • Responds to codes as appropriate. • Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, staff and physicians. • Entry level operation of Central Plant Equipment, Fire, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing systems. • Entry level wet and dry fire system operation including Simplex fire panel and fire response protocols. • Entry level understanding and implement all department Standard Operating Procedures. • Perform preventive maintenance as assigned. • Entry level AIMS work order system understanding and minimum 90%-time accountability daily. • Maintain department basic skills for entry level qualifications via on-the-job training and self-study. Technician II - General Services - Ontario

Carson is looking for a full-time General Services Technician II to help maintain our facilities out of the Ontario, OR branch. Don't pass up this opportunity to be part of a team of highly qualified technicians providing outstanding customer service! Job responsibilities include: • Building maintenance • Tank farm maintenance • Cardlock maintenance including fuel pump repairs and filter changes • Landscaping maintenance • Fuel cube and mobile fuel tank moves utilizing knuckle boom truck, forklift and rigging equipment • Deployment of Pickup Truck Snowplow equipment during winter weather conditions • General cleanup including trash detail and pressure washing • Installing and maintaining card readers at cardlock locations and troubleshooting card reader issues Qualifications: • Class B CDL w/ HAZMAT endorsement required • Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Experience with electrical troubleshooting • Able to learn all aspects of building maintenance needs, including construction and plumbing • Attention to detail, strong situational awareness • Able to effectively work alone and within a team environment • Travel throughout Oregon and Idaho, overnight stay will be required at times • Able to lift to 50 lbs. and maneuver safely around a job site • Physical demands including twisting, pulling, kneeling, bending, climbing safely • Will work outside and in fluctuating temperatures • Will be on call 24/7 • Class A CDL preferred, but not required, willing to obtain if hired Employer Notes: • Driver’s record and insurability status will be checked • Background check and drug screen will be conducted Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Aflac, Pre-paid legal, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and PTO.
