Responsibilities: • Assist and lead project definition, scoping, costing, approval, design, permitting and construction activities of mining and processing infrastructure projects • Execution of some aspects of small and medium sized projects, including planning, justification, engineering, design • Forecasting of project costs • Assist in providing design input to engineering consultants • Assist in coordinating efforts internally within Nevada Gold Mines during planning, design, construction, and commissioning of wells • Initiate regular communication with operations, environmental, safety, project sponsor and stakeholders • Assist in procurement of equipment, supplies, and contracts • Tailings slurry pumping and piping systems, including systems for a new tailings facility; • Upgrading miscellaneous process equipment to state-of-the-art, including screen decks, tramp metal removal systems, conveyor systems, carbon regeneration kilns, O2 plant compressors, air compressors, pumps, etc. • Ensure projects are designed and constructed with safety being the highest priority • Provide input into the Annual Environmental Report which goes to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) • Work closely with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), Permitting, Asset Management, Reliability, Operations and Technical Services, to research, analyze and provide supporting documents for work inclusion in project scopes • Formulate project parameters, and assist in monitoring progress to address constraints; • Act as primary liaison between the project execution team and the design engineering team; • Support project execution through project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, quantity surveying and reconciliation and earned value management; • Pump sizing for booster and downhole pumps • Sizing of transformers • Sizing and design of pipelines • Generate reports on pumping data • Assist with wireless communication infrastructure and automation projects Qualifications: • Bachelor degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or minimum of one or more years of engineering/maintenance experience working in a mining, minerals processing or related field required • Knowledge of standard project delivery models and methods, including PMI’s PMBOK knowledge areas, basic stage gate project steps (scoping/concept/feasibility/implementation/ closeout), project controls/tracking, estimating, etc. preferred • Knowledge of the fundamentals of DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, and Maintainability) and OR (Operational Readiness) principles preferred • Project Management knowledge is preferred • Experience with managing contractors and contract management is preferred • Competence in MS Office is required • Proficiency in AutoCAD is preferred • Familiarity with wireless data transfer and communications; installation, data collection/output • Strong oral and written communication skills are required • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of this job is required What We Can Offer You • A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more! • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team. • Opportunities to grow and learn with the industry colleagues are endless. • Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization. • Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Job Summary The Reliability Engineer supports the Kinross Way for Maintenance by monitoring equipment condition, analyzing performance trends, and recommending proactive maintenance strategies that improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Working closely with maintenance and operations teams, the incumbent helps strengthen preventative and predictive maintenance practices while ensuring work is performed safely and in alignment with Kinross values. Position is located at Bald Mountain Mine with a schedule of: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts. Essential Functions • Perform equipment condition monitoring activities, including vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermal imaging, and ultrasonic testing. • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to support preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance practices. • Assist with conducting root cause and failure analyses (RCA) and support the implementation of corrective actions. • Prepare clear and accurate asset health reports for maintenance and operations leadership. • Support the development and updating of equipment maintenance strategies, PM tasks, and criticality assessments. • Assist in maintaining quality control standards for equipment rebuilds, component replacements, and new equipment purchases. • Participate in equipment criticality reviews and help maintain accurate, up-to-date criticality lists. • Analyze maintenance data and provide recommendations that improve reliability, wear management, and PM optimization. • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance personnel on reliability tools and condition monitoring practices. • Ensure compliance with all company safety, environmental, confidentiality, and Code of Conduct policies. • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and meet performance expectations set by management. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skill Requirements • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a reliability, maintenance engineering, or related technical role. • Understanding of reliability methodologies such as RCA and FMEA. • Experience supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives or similar problem-solving tools. • Strong technical writing and reporting skills with the ability to summarize findings clearly. • Working knowledge of mobile and/or fixed plant equipment maintenance practices. • Experience in a mining or construction environment preferred. • General understanding of mining operations, with exposure to crushing, milling, or processing circuits preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with JDE or similar CMMS is an asset. • Bachelor’s degree in Reliability, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. • Must meet the physical requirements outlined in the physical demands sheet. • Valid driver’s license required.
