Operations Quality Specialist

Job Overview The Quality Control Manager will oversee the quality and safety of operations at various training ranges. • Responsible for all quality/safety aspects during aircraft operations, emergencies, and ground weapons fire activities. • Provide a quality approach that reduces Government oversight required to determine acceptability of services. • Develop and maintain a QC inspection system conforming to contract provisions, including checklists and procedures to evaluate operations, maintenance, and operator proficiency. Main Responsibilities: • Oversee timely and accurate scoring of missions and reporting of scores. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance inspections. • Implement and maintain a quality control program to meet or exceed quality requirements. • Other duties as assigned. Requirements include: • 5 years of DoD aircraft training range experience. • Quality management experience. • Familiarity with ISO 9000-2015 standards. • Expert knowledge of range operations policies and products. Preferred skills include: • Experience in developing and implementing quality programs. • Knowledge of computer systems. • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Work Environment: Work areas consist of office and non-office settings. Must be physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, twist, bend, and squat periodically.
