Job Description BME Fire Trucks is looking for experienced Mechanical Technicians. The chassis is the foundation of the fire apparatus and is the power that drives the truck as well as the water pump and controls the lights and sirens. As a Mechanical Technician you may be responsible for: • Installing bumpers • Installing rear steps • Attaching the water pump • Chassis Mechanics • Diagnostics Requirements: Qualifications WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE: • Background in automotive or diesel mechanics. • Basic math skills with ability to read tape measure • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds (rarely required but could be possible) • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs/ladders • Ability to pass a drug test and a criminal background check. • High school or adult mechanic’s course • Mechanic apprenticeship • Excellent diagnostic skills • Ability to use plasma torch • Experience with hand and power tools • Experience with DOT airline fittings, PTO gear boxes, drivelines • Hands on experience with impacts, drills, plasma torches, magnetic drills • Dependability • Motivation • Self-Drive This is a full-time permanent positions located on site in Boise, Idaho. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ASME mechanical systems, including installation, start-up, testing, and commissioning of complex process and utility systems. This role requires a deep understanding of ASME codes, commissioning procedures, and the unique demands of cleanroom environments within semiconductor manufacturing. Key Responsibilities: • Plan, execute, and document commissioning activities for all mechanical process and utility systems in compliance with ASME codes, project specifications, and client requirements • Oversee start-up, functional testing, and performance verification of HVAC, chilled water, process cooling, compressed air, process gas, and other mechanical systems • Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, and operations teams to ensure a seamless transition from construction to operations • Develop and maintain commissioning schedules, checklists, and test procedures • Review mechanical drawings, P&IDs, equipment submittals, and as-built documentation for accuracy and completeness • Identify and resolve deficiencies, non-conformances, and punch list items during commissioning • Ensure adherence to ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.3 Process Piping, and other relevant standards • Collaborate with equipment vendors, subcontractors, and trades to ensure proper installation and system performance • Maintain detailed records, test reports, and turnover documentation for client acceptance • Enforce safety procedures and cleanroom protocols throughout commissioning activities Qualifications: • 8+ years of mechanical commissioning or mechanical systems management experience in semiconductor fab new construction or equivalent high-tech industrial facilities • In-depth knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ASME BPVC, B31.1, B31.3) • Proven experience with HVAC, chilled water, process cooling, process gas, vacuum, and other fab-related systems • Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs • Experience developing and executing commissioning scripts, procedures, and test documentation • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams • Proficient in commissioning management software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bluebeam or similar tools preferred • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training preferred Preferred: • Previous experience working with major semiconductor manufacturers or EPC firms • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols, ISO standards, and contamination control requirements • Experience in fast-track, large-scale construction environments Work Environment: • Primarily on-site at a semiconductor fab construction project • May involve extended hours and weekend work to meet project deadlines • Requires the use of PPE and adherence to strict cleanroom standards Requirements Minimum of 8 years Mechanical Commissioning experience with Semiconductor.
