Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Job Description We are looking to hire 25 Maintenance Technician 3's to join our Modern Foods team on a direct hire basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the timely repair and preventative maintenance of plant equipment in our highly automated, fast-paced food production facility where we produce various yogurt products. Candidates with experience in TetraPak, Sidel, and Blow Molding are highly desired. Responsibilities • Perform timely repair and preventative maintenance on plant equipment, including filling machines, metal detectors, case erectors, packers, sealers, pasteurizers, motors, pumps, and conveying equipment. • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems. • Identify and correct problems in electrical/control systems and mechanical systems. • Implement safety and continuous improvement measures, equipment calibrations, and reliability opportunities. • Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements. • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring instruments. • Control downtime by informing operation workers of routine preventative maintenance and operation techniques. • Provide mechanical maintenance information to prevent equipment damage. • Fabricate repair parts or additions for processes as necessary. • Serve as an 'Expert' resource, providing training and assistance to Operations and other support groups. Essential Skills • 1-3 years of related experience required. • Associates degree, Technical School Certificate, or Military training in electrical or electronics systems, industrial controls, or manufacturing systems/mechanical systems. • Ability to use hand tools and knowledge of associated safety procedures. • Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. • Mechanical proficiency, problem-solving, and analytical skills. • Ability to work with vendors, contractors, and company employees. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. • Ability to climb ladders preferred.
