Job Title: Mechanical Technician Light Diesel Mechanical Technician Light Diesel Position We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to help maintain and service our fleet of diesel semi-trucks and large logistical equipment. Key Responsibilities • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel semi-trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. • Diagnose mechanical issues and efficiently repair or replace faulty components. • Inspect, clean, lubricate, and service vehicle components to prevent wear and tear. • Install replacement parts and assist with fleet modifications to improve efficiency and productivity. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by keeping shop tools and areas stocked and tidy. • Document work completed and communicate with management on fleet needs and concerns. • Occasionally support field operations across NE Oregon and SE Washington. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus. • Minimum 13 months of mechanical experience or equivalent education/training. • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record required. • Knowledge of diesel and gas vehicle systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. • Skilled in troubleshooting and using hand/power tools. • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Truck Mechanic Position We are seeking a skilled Truck Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance and repairs on our tractor and trailer equipment. About the Role • The truck mechanic will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair fleet equipment safely and correctly. • They will conduct failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds of fleet equipment components. • The truck mechanic will inform management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggest corrective actions. • They will identify and inform management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and take steps to solve the issue if possible. • The truck mechanic will complete complex work orders with proper coding, including properly completing warranty return tags as needed. • They will maintain a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance. • The truck mechanic will comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity. Required Skills and Qualifications • A valid state-issued driver's license is required. • Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25. • Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19.
