The person in this position will be relied upon as a technical expert for the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems including generators, turbines, heat exchangers, condensers, motors, pumps, piping, and valves. Key responsibilities for this position include standardizing maintenance procedures and processes used for all Ormat generation facilities, overseeing the implementation of preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance programs and activities, standardization of equipment condition monitoring programs such as oil and vibration analysis, and oversight of critical repairs and activities for all generators and other major equipment. Essential Functions • Maintain the oil analysis program and database information for all major rotating equipment. Routinely review and audit the oil analysis reports for lube oil, seal oil and transformer oil results. • Inform affected Plant Managers and Maintenance Supervisors of the results from the oil analysis that are out of the recommended limits and track all action items to completion. • Develop and maintain vibration monitoring program in a secure central database for all major rotating equipment. • Assist in developing, and auditing installation instructions and quality control programs for all major mechanical installations. • Update master lists as needed for generators and other major mechanical equipment in the fleet including spares.
