The individual in this job will be required to fully understand the purpose and operation of the electrical systems, electronic equipment and instrumentation throughout the plant and have the ability to make decisions based on sound judgement when a situation dictates. Key Responsibilities • Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and specialized potato-processing equipment such as conveyors, and programmable logic controllers. • Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. • Shall have proven and demonstrated history of responsible and safe electrical work and possess a strong knowledge of NEC safety standards and other associated standards and codes. • Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance employees, (General Maintenance, Pump Mechanics and Electronics) to diagnose malfunction. • Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices as appropriate or necessary. • Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. • Reads blueprints and all types of electrical schematics. • Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors as necessary or required. • Operates equipment to test for malfunctions and to verify repairs. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Typical Education Journeyman Electrician License from the State of Oregon or a State with reciprocity such as, Idaho, Utah, Maine, Montana, Arkansas, Washington or Wyoming. Salary Base pay range: $68,000.00/yr - $71,000.00/yr Responsibilities • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and job site staff. • Balance activities between managing work and performing maintenance and repair duties. • Oversee client contracts, ensuring tasks are completed as scheduled (janitorial). • Successfully manage multi-discipline and specific craft activities. • Assign work orders and scheduled maintenance activities utilizing CMMS technology. • Ensure the scope of work meets client expectations while adhering to Jacobs HS&E, quality, financial, risk management, business and policy requirements. • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of facility repairs. • Lead day-to-day activities of a craft maintenance team focused on parks and cemeteries, maintenance equipment and facility maintenance; supervise maintenance shops and spaces. • Oversee cleanliness and organization of maintenance shops, spare parts and satellite spaces. • Demonstrate leadership to grow a high-performing, proactive maintenance team. • Commit to safe work practices and employee wellness; model safety and monitor safety requirements. • Communicate effectively with staff, management and clients via phone, email and in-person interactions. • Attend monthly Parks Committee meetings after hours. • Budget and operate within the annual budget, including developing the Capital Improvement Budget (projects and equipment replacement). • Work overtime/after hours as needed to maintain operations (snow removal, HVAC, emergencies). • Schedule and oversee work crews in parks and cemeteries. • Perform airport fence inspection and coordinate weed control with contractors. • Schedule grass runway and other mowing at client-owned airport. • Oversee maintenance of parks, cemeteries and medians/parkways; manage weeds, sprinkler systems and sprinkler line repair/installation. • Operate equipment such as loader, backhoe, snowplow; perform building and grounds maintenance tasks (painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, grounds work). • Plant lawns, trees, shrubs and flowers; operate and maintain tractors, mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, light trucks, jackhammers, welders, steam cleaners, buffers, etc. • Keep current skills in proper and safe building/grounds maintenance techniques. • Collect and dispose of solid waste; keep premises clean. • Open facilities and secure them daily as needed; remove snow from park parking lots, cemetery lanes and sidewalks as needed. • Assist in construction of new park facilities including clearing, grading drainage and foundation work. • Maintain complete and accurate records. • Respond to unscheduled projects and emergencies after hours. • Measure and compute using metric units and convert between English and metric systems. • Perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods; work safely and communicate effectively; establish positive working relationships with employees, other departments and the public; follow written and oral instructions. Qualifications • Minimum of a HS diploma/GED. • Valid Driver’s License – Class B CDL minimum or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. • At least 5 years of experience (Trade / Foreman / Supervision). • OR Commercial Applicator License with Turf/Ornamental category or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and CMMS technology. • Technical training and mentoring experience. • Supervisor/leadership training and experience. • Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Equipment Maintenance, facility maintenance, turf maintenance and irrigation systems. Working Conditions While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, kneel, sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects; mobility to operate grounds maintenance equipment/vehicles; ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
