Job Location: Schuyler, NE Job Type: Full Time Shift(s) Available : 2nd Compensation: $35.00/hr Benefits Information • Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Drug Insurance • Health and Wellness Incentives • Paid Vacation and Holidays • 401(k) with Cargill Matching Contributions • Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) • Short-Term Disability and Life Insurance • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) • Tuition Reimbursement • Employee Discounts Principal Accountabilities • Daily Engagement of workforce through direction of work assignments, compensation, communication, recognition, development, and coaching, etc. • Manage the workflow process associated with electronics and some electromechanical areas of the facility, including the ASRS system • Develop preventative maintenance procedures to maintain equipment associated with electronics and limited electromechanical equipment throughout the facility; including the management of parts inventory and corrective actions • Manage safety culture through training and observations • Liaison to contractors and Utilities department for projects and work orders • Develop and update PLC and HMI programs as required based on established guidelines and controls for this type of equipment • Ensure compliance of our measuring devices (i.e. Packers and Stockyards and Nebraska Department of Weights and Measures) • Responsible for department budget, including labor and operating expenses Required Qualifications • Must be eligible to work in the united states without visa sponsorship • Must be 18 years or older • Basic knowledge of Allen – Bradley programmable logic controllers • Competency in basic electrical 24 and 120 volt AC and DC circuits • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems • Ability to read, write and speak English Preferred Qualifications • 2-year degree or better in electrical or electromechanical technologies • Experience in food processing environment • Proficient in Allen – Bradley PLC Programing and troubleshooting, RsLogix 500/Control Logix 5000/Factory Talk view • Install and trouble shoot Industrial Networks – Ethernet base and components • Ability to read and interpret schematics, general machine installation and repairs • 3-5 years of experience with industrial process controls and industrial networking Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement. Job Description Mechanical Engineer Job description • General Summary of the Position Prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods according to customer specifications. • Essential Functions • Design and create drawings, CNC's, solid models and sales drawings for Gentle Roll's, Screw conveyors, Sheller's, Sidewinders as well as other custom parts and equipment for outside customer's and in-house repair or construction orders. • Create parts, assemblies/bills of materials, shop work orders and sales orders in accounting software; check status on inventory, shop work orders and sales orders. • Design drive packages that calculate equipment capacities, rpm and horsepower for parts and equipment according to customer needs. • Obtain and assemble data by visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary. • Support sales by assisting with quote preparations by calculating bills of materials, weights and estimating labor. • Supervise, coordinate, train and inspect the work of the CAD draftsman. • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Excellent working knowledge of computer software including AutoCAD, VET, Excel and Word; and good working knowledge of SolidWorks, ProNest and Adobe Acrobat Pro. • Excellent communication skills - reading/writing/verbal English; the ability to explain to others how devices, parts, equipment or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained or used. • Competent math skills, specifically geometry and unit conversion. • Good decision making skills that take into consideration relative costs and benefits to answer questions, address complaints and resolve problems. • Ability to actively listen, taking time to understand and ask questions. • Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to accomplish specific goals. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Education, Training and Experience • Minimum of associate's degree in CAD drafting. • Certification in Autodesk or SolidWorks preferred. • One to three years of experience in drafting and job coordination of construction or metal fabrication recommended. • Work Context • Regularly spend time in an office environment, sitting at computer, creating and answering e-mail and talking on the phone. • Occasionally walks to shop or stands. • Requires good motor skills, such as climbing and squatting, for checking equipment and parts dimensions. • Important to maintain a high degree of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail. • Requires independence and dependability to make sure projects get done, as well as cooperation with others inside and outside the department. • Requires good stress tolerance; accepting criticism and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations. • Special Requirements • Must pass general physical and drug screen. • Must be 18 years old or older.
