Position Summary We are seeking a Field Service Technician with strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on printer hardware repair experience. This role supports client sites throughout the Norfolk region and requires both daily local travel and periodic regional travel requiring overnight stays. The technician will install, maintain, diagnose, and repair printers and related hardware, providing exceptional customer service in a professional, client-facing environment. During regional support weeks, candidates may fly to client sites on Sunday evening and return home Thursday evening, with Fridays reserved for a remote check-in meeting with their team lead. A valid Real ID–compliant driver's license, clean MVR, and access to a reliable personal vehicle are required. This is an onsite, field-based position—not remote. Key Responsibilities • Perform onsite diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of printers and related electro-mechanical hardware. • Install and configure printer equipment at customer locations. • Replace printer components, troubleshoot mechanical/electronic issues, and verify device functionality. • Provide outstanding customer service at all client sites. • Accurately document service activities, parts usage, and resolutions. • Travel daily within assigned territory; travel regionally as needed, including overnight trips (Sun–Thu). • Participate in weekly remote team lead meetings, typically held Fridays. • Utilize Clearvision/Fieldvision tools for logging, routing, and reporting. • Manage assigned work independently and meet service-level expectations. Required Qualifications • 2–3+ years of experience in electro-mechanical repair, field service, or printer hardware support. • Proven hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining printers. • Valid Real ID–compliant driver’s license and clean MVR. • Reliable personal vehicle for daily travel to client locations. • Ability and willingness to perform frequent travel, including overnight stays. • Availability to work M–F 8am–5pm, with overtime as needed. • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications • Lexmark Printer Certification (preferred but not required). • Experience supporting clients in field-based IT or hardware roles. • Familiarity with Clearvision/Fieldvision systems.
