Position Summary: Responsible for electrical/mechanical servicing and maintenance of machinery and equipment, physical plant, utilities, and grounds in accordance with state and federal regulations and Company process and procedures. Utilization and operation of equipment, material, and tools for the purpose of inspection, diagnostics and repair/PM on production and process equipment fulfilling facility needs as they arise. Responsible for support capacity of all plant functions, maintaining equipment in an operable, safe capacity. Complies with all safety, quality, customer focus, preventative maintenance and housekeeping standards. All other duties as assigned and expected. Duties & Responsibilities: • Read and apply electrical meter readings, micrometer, caliper, gauges, and tape measure. • Read and interpret equipment manufacturers recommendations. • Assist with required maintenance and repair on all equipment • Demonstrate mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge and aptitude. • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot control circuitry • Correct interpretation and understanding of prints. • Familiarity with PLC's, motor controls, sensors, limit switches and electro/mechanical systems, and 3-phase 480vt equipment. (Specifically, AB) • Experience troubleshooting PC and network issues. • Recommend equipment and process improvements to improve efficiency and or achieve cost reduction. • Communicate via proper documentation to supervisor and appropriate management resources regarding quality and equipment problems, issues and concerns. • Follow all applicable procedures and instructions including but not limited to preventative and routine maintenance, troubleshooting, process improvements, and materials. • Work with work groups and teams to support the sustainability and continuous improvements of stakeholders. • Assist more senior Maintenance Technicians and outside support/management of contractors. • Follow and hold others accountable for following all company Good Manufacturing Practices. • Other duties as directed by supervisor. Workplace Safety: • Completes safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor. • Participates in mandatory safety trainings and adheres to all safety policies • Required to report all safety issues, near misses, and injuries Quality & Food Safety: • Completes quality & food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards. Reports deviations to Supervisor. • Participates in mandatory food safety and quality training program requirements • Preserves the integrity of the BRC system through adherence to the policies and procedures outlined. Takes actions necessary to resolve food safety and quality system deficiencies • Required to report food safety and quality system failures and take actions necessary to preserve the BRC system. Position Requirements: • Experience in the follow areas is required: • Basic mechanical competency skills- knowledge of tools and their use and a general understanding of how things work mechanically. • Basic electrical competency skills- general understanding of how electricity works. • Previous experience in a food environment in preferred. • Ability to follow instructions precisely, recognize deviations and recommend corrective action. • Ability to troubleshoot machinery. • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office and other relevant electronic systems. • Strong time management and organizational skills. • Ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines. • Well-developed attention to detail, ability to maintain accurate records and proofreading skills. • Ability to communicate effectively with others, both written and verbally in English. Responsibilities • Coordinate with suppliers and other departments in the design and release of assigned New Product • Create and manage drawings, controlling revisions and releases of current and new • Change management including the creating and updating of Engineering Change • Create and update Build of Materials for assigned product • Support manufacturing, ensuring they have the information needed to execute • Support the Customer Service department, informing them of changes to product • Assist in identifying and executing on the continuous improvement of current • Certify that samples and first production runs meet quality Skills & Qualifications • A affinity for and extensive experience with agricultural and/or equipment operation • Willing to study ABI's markets and products to become an expert in our field • Strong 3D Modeling Skills - Creo/Pro E • Experience with fluid power and DC electrical system • A affinity for and/or experience with outdoor work industries • Must have unwavering integrity and positivity • Must be emotionally intelligent, a humble contributor to group goals and company needs • Must be a self-motivated and driven learner with a desire to grow and be developed • Must be willing to participate in ongoing education • Must be proficient utilizing computers, mobile devices, and core office applications • Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and projects • Developed ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems Education & Experience • Minimum 1+ years successful project management experience • Minimum 3+ years successful experience in machinery design engineering • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field • Familiarity with fluid power drive and accessory systems including mechanical design and conveyance • Familiarity with fluid power control systems that involve both mechanical and electrical/electronic systems Physical Requirements • Must be willing to work in-house • Must have the ability to safely lift 40 pounds • Must have the ability to stand, sit, and/or see a screen for a full work shift • Ability to talk or hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer • Ability to listen to customers/vendors/colleagues, problem solve, and respond accordingly • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently Environmental Conditions & Travel • The employee is exposed to manufacturing and warehouse environments with moderate to loud noise as well as office environments with moderate • The employee is required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while working in the warehouse or manufacturing environments. • Travel: Less than 5% #J-18808-Ljbffr
