This individual will act as the ISO Management Representative with authority to identify and evaluate quality problems and to recommend and initiate effective solutions and corrective actions. This role will work directly with Operations, Senior Management, and the Sales Force. What You'll Be Responsible For: • Collaborate with customers quality and engineering personnel to determine critical to quality (CTQ) features and review manufacturability of design. Make recommendations to modify customer part specifications and tolerances as necessary to support cost effective production. • Conduct oversight of internal auditing program and corrective action system (internal and customer driven). This will involve coordination with internal auditor pool to ensure compliance with the audit schedule, calibration, as well as participating with internal and outside audits. • Lead and maintain material review board process (MRB). • Analyze internal/external nonconforming and rework product trends. Lead corrective action efforts to establish prioritized reduction plans on cost of poor quality. • Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals.) • Identify and evaluate quality problems to recommend and initiate effective solutions and corrective actions. • Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques. • Implement quality assurance programs that effectively monitor product manufacturing in a way that results in company compliance with regulatory standards for third party audit and customer product requirements. • Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, Production, and Quality department to identify problems, examine solution options, implement action plans, and provide resources to resolve customer complaints and concerns. • Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements. • Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup. • Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plans and Inspection Plans. • Assist in defining program control plans using geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and ensure conformity. Ability to measure parts using height gage, caliper, micrometer, and other measuring technologies. • Assures that all prescribed records and documents are properly completed and maintained. • Responsible for establishing and maintaining program of evaluation, feedback, and corrective actions with supplier base to improve quality, delivery, and reliability.
