Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description The Mechanical Analyst will collaborate with the lead Mechanical Engineer and Packaging Engineer to perform shock, vibration, thermal, and other analyses necessary for ensuring a robust electronic product. Responsibilities • Perform lumped circuit analysis after receiving power dissipation data of components. • Validate Finite Element Analysis (FEA) based models against FLIR/thermal image captures. • Utilize FEA tools to validate packaging designs for model performance. • Conduct shock/vibration analysis after being provided with component weights and worst-case shock/vibration stimuli. • Serve as a technical point of contact for mechanical engineering topics related to project development. Essential Skills • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. • Minimum of 5 years experience in Ansys for Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Work Environment The position is based in Gastonia with a hybrid work schedule, allowing work from home 1-2 times a week. The work environment involves research and development for commercial and defense customers on a significant commercial project.
