What You’ll Do As a Senior Electrical Engineer at LSC, you will: • Lead moderate to large sized projects, making technical recommendations and decisions on complex issues. • Provide leadership and guidance to the electrical engineering team, mentoring staff and growing technical expertise in the power discipline. • Work with project teams to create design documents and drawings, including power and controls drawings, reports, calculations, and associated documentation. • Interface with electrical utility providers to design service interconnects. • Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment. • Oversee design reviews, perform engineering calculations, studies, reports, and field investigations. • Apply electrical engineering software (SKM, ETAP, etc.) for modeling and analysis. • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project management, customer representatives, and stakeholders. • Manage project scope changes, identify risks, and develop contingency plans. • Frequently interact with clients, vendors, and contractors to build confidence in LSC’s technical solutions. • Recognize business development opportunities and contribute to proposal writing, cost estimates, and client presentations. What We’re Looking For Education & Credentials • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering. • Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Experience • 10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience. • Proven technical leadership with experience mentoring teams. • Industrial electrical control system and/or power system design experience strongly preferred. • Experience with high, medium, and low voltage power systems, protective relay schemes, switchgear, MCCs, drives, and power distribution equipment is desired. • Substation design experience a plus. • Direct experience with industrial facilities and energy industry projects (Oil & Gas, Renewables, Distributed Power). • Familiarity with codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70E, API, AGA). • Field experience supporting projects during construction is an advantage. Technical Skills • Experience with design of control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and network architectures preferred. • Proficiency with SKM, ETAP, or other electrical analysis software. • Knowledge of electrical area classification (hazardous areas).
