Role description: Arcadis is looking for experienced Senior Mechanical MEP Inspector to join our growing team! This position is a full-time on-site project role that will join our growing team of Data Center construction and Mission Critical project professionals. The MEP Inspector will support a variety of industrial and commercial construction projects that may include pre-construction, construction, start-up/commissioning and coordination with electrical power distribution systems conduit and wiring; voice/tele/data systems; instrumentation and control systems. Our ideal candidate will have experience in performing and coordinating trade work construction, reviewing and responding to Contractor RFI’s, shop drawings/submittals, and as-built drawing preparation, and coordination of required inspections. The MEP inspector will be a key member driving construction quality and supporting on-time, on-budget delivery. Role accountabilities: • Provide overall quality of work and coordination of construction trade work; conducting detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical construction based on deep, firsthand installation experience • Perform detailed inspections of conduit and wiring installation, terminations, splices in junction boxes, panelboards, and cable trays. • Work with the Start-Up Engineers for testing procedures, start-up and commissioning protocols, to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and ordinances • Review plans for assigned projects, confirm required inspections of ongoing construction, and perform field inspections of trade work as needed, attend pre-construction conferences, progress meetings, and safety meetings • Provide coordination of information, both written and verbal, to contractors, client staff, Arcadis staff, and outside agencies • Lead a safety culture, empowering the ‘stop work’ authority Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent education • 5+ years of Mechanical Inspection experience, or 10+ years in commercial field inspection • Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control in construction projects • Familiarity with Procore or similar project management software • Strong understanding of construction standards, codes, and regulations • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders • Valid Driver's License required Why Arcadis?
