Mechanical Operations Technician

job summary: Operations Technician position for immediate contract to hire role in the Northern Las Vegas area. This role will be about 6 months before converting to full time employment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced installation technician that enjoys using their hands, using their mechanical skills in an ever-changing working environment with a great pace. The right person for this role should have at least 2 years of experience as a technician in a satellite communications type environment with working knowledge of TCP/IP. Mechanical Source Inspection

Industry Aerospace/Defense Position Mechanical Inspector Location Las Vegas, NV Duration On-going contract - On-demand Frequency 1-2 visits per every 3 months - part-time - 1099. We currently have a need for an experienced mechanical source inspector to support in Las Vegas, Nevada. • Inspections are infrequent. About one to two visits every three months. Job Description • Perform mechanical inspection using precision measuring devices/instruments at supplier’s facility to verify compliance to drawings, standards/specifications and other PO requirement. • Verify material certifications against PO requirements, part marking where required and visually inspect for obvious defects/ damage. Electrical/Mechanical Technician

A electrical mechanic repairs and maintains production line equipment including but not limited to case packers, palletizers, labeling machines, hot fill, and blow molding machines. Electrical and mechanical knowledge is required with the ability to perform diagnostics testing and repairs on electrical components. Responsibilities: • · Able to Conduct preventative maintenance and maintenance on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, packaging systems, blow mold, boilers, refrigeration, chiller, pasteurizer, lift trucks, etc. • Perform expert level root cause analysis and preventative maintenance. This includes and is not limited to: • Observing equipment in operation to locate root cause of problem, dismantling equipment, examine parts for any imperfections, replacing, or repairing defective parts, adjusting parts or control module, troubleshooting of the electrical circuitry and mechanical systems of equipment and recondition and repairing machine tools. • · Complete production line change overs based on packaging requirements. • · Troubleshoot problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. • · Install and maintain PLC’s, Servo motors and drives, HMI’s, robotic assembly equipment etc. • · Fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment, drill press, welder, etc. • · Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt. • · Remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts. • · Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. • · Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. • · Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. • · Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • · Maintains safe and clean working environment by performing general housekeeping, complying to GMP, SQF, LOTO and safety standards. Qualifications: Extensive experience working with automated packaging equipment, bottling experience, laser date encoders, shrink film packagers, and multi-reel labeling · Must take initiative to quickly troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, air compression, hydraulics, liquid compression, electrical system, and automation system issues as they arise · Experience reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings · Extensive experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns, diagnostics, electrical systems, refrigeration systems, hydraulic systems, air distribution systems · Prior ability and experience driving a forklift in a warehouse setting Physical Requirements Ability to perform repetitious work. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Ability to stand up to 80% of shift. Squatting, and pushing/pulling up to 30% of shift. Twisting, grasping, reaching, turning, stooping, and lifting up to 80% of shift.
