Sales Mechanical Drafter

Serpa Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter to join the Sales department team! The Mechanical Drafter will be responsible for supporting the Sales department in creating and updating floor plan drawings, customer plant layout drawings, flow drawings and maintaining department spreadsheets. May also support the Mechanical Engineering department with assembly drawings and technical part drawings, as well as Project Management with floor plan drawings and flow drawings. Requirements: • Learn and follow company procedure to produce detailed floor plan, customer plant layout, and flow drawings for Sales department, which includes mechanical and controls equipment. • Perform basic mathematical calculations and use AutoCAD to prepare Sales engineering drawings. • Under guidance, review completed drawings for accuracy, completeness, design practices, and standard applications. • Resolve design problems and prepare variations of design when needed. • Support drafting updates and offer flexibility to accommodate Sales team’s requests. • Update department spreadsheets, which includes floor plan listings and sold jobs list • May also support the Mechanical Engineering department with assembly drawings and technical part drawings" Desired Requirements: • Associate’s degree in a related field, or a combination of education and experience • Minimum of 2 years of CAD design experience • Strong proficiency with 2D CAD tools; AutoCAD preferred • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. • Mechanical aptitude & experience with packaging or automation equipment desired • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, & Outlook) • Excellent communication, planning, and time management skills What’s in it for you? Job Summary The site maintenance mechanic repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. Essential Functions • Maintain and repair all production equipment: including but not limited to, pumps, pasteurizers, atomizers, evaporators, dryers, valves, baggers, robot etc. • Maintain and repair all support equipment: including but not limited to, boiler, air-compressors, ammonia compressors, thermal storage units, condensers, vacuum pumps, ammonia systems, air conditioning units, sewer meters, conductivity meters, water meters, etc. • Must have a working knowledge of and experience in plant maintenance operations. • Be an active part of the emergency response team. This includes but is not limited to the following: Emergency evacuation team; personnel rescue hazardous waste response/disposal team; permit required confined space entrant/observer, wear authorized respiratory protection (i.e., Air Purifying Respirator (APR) or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA); first aid / CPR approved; approved forklift operator. • Handling of chemicals for support equipment operation. Chemical testing of boiler feed water, condensate, cooling tower water, ice bank chilled water, plant process water. • Daily utilities reading. • Ordering/maintaining inventories for all parts to service all equipment plant wide. • Fabrication and manufacturing of equipment for production needs; product and process piping, sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, pneumatic lines, etc. ensuring such fabrication and manufacturing is in accordance with the applicable safety regulations. • Documentation of all schematic and diagram changes to keep plant record current. • Responsible for working with a minimum amount of supervision in all key areas. • Responsible for care and safe keeping of tools supplied by CDI. • Responsible for reporting on a daily basis work orders and activity reports (all time is to be accountable). • Required to climb stairs, ladders and work in confined spaces. • Employee will be subject to temperatures ranging from 50 degrees F to 130 degrees F. • Responsible for all work being done in a timely fashion and done properly. • Responsible for coaching and training teammates and participating in on the job, buddy training. • Follow all company Policies. • Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, Safety policies and procedures, and production needs. “Food Safety and Quality” are the responsibilities of this position. • Perform other duties as assigned. Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Operations & Maintenance Engineer Range: $94,480 - $120,000 Position is located onsite in Visalia, CA, applicants must live within 30 minutes of site or willing to relocate. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for general engineering support including development of plant operation and maintenance procedures, ongoing plant troubleshooting, develop and participate in plant schedule and preventive maintenance, plant safety, plant inventory, plant efficiency, performance monitoring and improvements, development and implementation of various field projects, revenue improvement and cost reduction. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Thorough understanding of battery operation to include start-up, shutdown and emergency operational actions • Performs both routine and non-routine preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment • Makes plant rounds, logs equipment operating parameters and adjusts equipment as required • Coordinates support contractors and internal resources • Requisitions and assists in ordering and receiving plant materials • Represents the Company with vendors and regulators as assigned • Continuously increases own knowledge by personal independent study • Implements emergency procedures as assigned • Implements safety procedures as assigned • Basic knowledge and experience in PLC programming, SCADA programming and implementation • Works with contractors and other temporary labor during on site activities • Uses installed and portable test equipment, technical manuals, system drawings and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment and systems • Programs and troubleshoots field equipment • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for continuous period of time and read and understand maps • Must be able to travel overnight approximately 25% of the time out of the office by air, train or auto OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES • Must be able to climb ladders, climb to and work off elevated platforms, ladders and walkways • Maintain trend reports on equipment operation for assigned system • Complete various plant reports • Perform other duties and projects as assigned EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED • A High school diploma with at least two (2) years of technical training in operations and routine maintenance of battery storage, power plants and four years of experience working in a power plant or an equivalent environment • Thorough knowledge of operating a power plant or battery storage facility • Thorough knowledge and/or background for operating and maintaining mechanical and/or electrical systems. Ability to maintain electrical systems is preferred • Familiarity with basic internetworking protocol and related remote communication constructs for telemetry with RTUs • Knowledge and understanding of PLC based instrumentation and control systems.
