Automotive Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a strong focus on diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle issues. This role offers an opportunity to work with various vehicle makes and models, utilizing diagnostic tools and mechanical expertise to ensure customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Duties • Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. • Conduct repairs on engines, transmissions, powertrain components, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and steering systems. • Execute routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections. • Repair or replace air brake systems and other specialized systems as needed. • Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks. • Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems. • Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding their vehicle’s condition and recommended services. • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Requirements • Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic, preferably with dealership experience or extensive automotive repair background. • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, diesel engine repair, auto estimating, and vehicle maintenance procedures. • Proficiency in working with schematics, automotive diagnostics software, and understanding of powertrain systems. • Ability to replace transmissions, brakes, shocks & struts. • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service tools. • Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure high-quality service delivery. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. This position requires a motivated individual committed to quality workmanship and continuous learning in the automotive repair industry. Quality Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our elite aerospace and defense manufacturing team. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards (AS9100, ISO9001, and customer-specific requirements) while driving continuous improvement across all quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in precision machining, complex assemblies, and hard metals (e.g., titanium, Inconel, stainless steels), with the ability to partner closely with engineering, operations, and customers to maintain world-class quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and customer requirements. • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102 and customer specifications. • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence of quality issues. • Perform internal audits and support external customer/regulatory audits. • Collaborate with engineering and operations to develop process controls, inspection plans, and risk mitigation strategies. • Review and approve manufacturing documentation, test results, and inspection reports. • Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs), material review board (MRB) activities, and support disposition decisions. • Monitor quality performance metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvement initiatives. • Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming materials meet requirements. • Train and mentor production and inspection staff on quality standards and best practices. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience considered. • 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, ideally within aerospace and defense manufacturing. • Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001, and industry regulations (ITAR, NADCAP a plus). • Experience with FAI (AS9102), GD&T, and precision machining processes. • Skilled in using quality tools: root cause analysis, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and control plans. • Proficient with metrology equipment, CMMs, and other precision inspection tools. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. • US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required (due to ITAR compliance).
