Overview: The IS Mechanical Designer III will design mechanical systems, components, or assemblies using engineering principles. Responsibilities: • Works closely with project managers, engineers and contractors to create unique high-level concepts and designs for all assigned projects. • Works closely with the team to ensure the successful execution of goals of all assigned projects. • Conducts field surveys to identify existing equipment types and system capabilities. • Produces, with limited supervision, design documents including drawings, system flow diagrams and architecture, wiring diagrams, construction details, and equipment scheduling. • Delivers concepts and designs according to strict project deadlines. • Contributes to all areas of the creative process and department. • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to team members.
