Mechanical Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. This is a full-time position with competitive pay. Responsibilities: - Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Evaluate and manage capital and kaizen projects in a time-critical environment. · Provide analysis, evaluation and review of problems regarding automation, advanced methods and equipment, material handling, layout and material flow. · Provide alternative solutions to anticipated or actual technical and/or business related manufacturing problems. · Develop safeguards and improve team member safety through process improvements. · Provide training to production and maintenance team members. · Provide trouble shooting assistance to production and maintenance team members. · Develop new equipment specifications, tooling and other associated requirements. · Design new equipment or redesign existing equipment, and coordinate its fabrication, assembly, installation, and startup as needed. · Provide daily leadership to hourly maintenance personnel · Maintain all mechanical functions of plant processes · Actively and aggressively support 6S policies and procedures · Support the Production Dept. to assure processes, fixtures, inspection gauges, and tooling are designed, manufactured and delivered on time and within budget to meet production demands. · Prepare equipment and/or tooling designs as required to meet production needs. · Collect data from production documents daily or as needed. · Compare collected data to the standards and analyze for improvements. · Compare the collected data to production reports and analyze discrepancies. · Organize and report data weekly/monthly/yearly. · Measure OEE (Operating Equipment Efficiency) as required. · Identify and quantify opportunities for improvements. · Recommend and implement improvements. · Respond to emergency failures as needed. · Actively support 6S policies and practices. · Support new equipment installations as required and develop spare parts lists. · Coordinate forklift and company vehicle maintenance. · Support the Maintenance Dept. and Supervisor to assure the maintenance systems are being followed properly. · Develop new and/or improve maintenance systems. · Assist with budget preparations for production and maintenance by identifying equipment and tooling needs and developing cost estimates. · Collect maintenance related data from the documents daily. · 3D modeling experience (Solidworks) Preferred · Design tooling and verify line startup for new part numbers and capabilities · Communicate with sales and product design team · Develop new products from initial quoting through production lifespan Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: · B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering · Thorough knowledge of machine design, Solidworks, tooling, machine installation & developing PFEMA. · Microsoft office skills · Training or working knowledge of statistical analysis processes · Ability to interpret data and engineering drawings · Must have strong organizational and time management skills · Must have good verbal and written communication and team building skills · Must have strong problem solving skills · Strong work ethic · TPS · TPM · 5S · Autonomous Maintenance · Root Cause Analysis · Cost justification analysis · SolidWorks · Continuous improvement techniques · Pokayoke Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field - Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles - Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, and Quantum engineering - Experience with root cause analysis techniques - Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) - Familiarity with Simulink for simulation purposes - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills We offer competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. Manufacturing Engineer-FRANKLIN,KY

Oversee and maintain processes for fabrication, machining and/or assembly of products and product components for the facility. Essential Functions: • Develop, implement, and maintain effective, robust, ergonomic, and safe manufacturing processes. • Continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variable and fixed manufacturing cost. • Work directly with Product Development on design for manufacturability for current and future products. • Participate on Simultaneous Product Process Development (SPPD) Teams as required. • Support TS16949 certification initiatives. • Point of contact for APQP process associated with launching new products/manufacturing processes. • Support customers with resolutions to concerns and enhancements for existing applications. • Define product and process improvements for potential cost savings. • Work with plant engineering group, quality department and production to aid in daily manufacturing issues. • Assign work to other engineers and technicians for specific product line or manufacturing process. • All other duties as assigned. Education and Training • Bachelor’s degree required. • Training in computer aided drafting techniques. • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Knowledge of programming logic. • Knowledge of PLC logic. • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office). Minimum Qualifications • 7+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. • Suspension System knowledge preferred. • Fabrication experience preferred. • Welding experience preferred. • Background in developing product evaluations based on analysis data. • Good Communication Skills. • Hands-on, systematic individual. • Mechanical aptitude, strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Results oriented with a strong sense of personal responsibility. • Professionalism and integrity to communicate and work with employees at all levels of the organization.
