Maintenance & Engineering Manager

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The Engineering / Maintenance Manager leads the site engineering design and plan efforts by utilizing available and applicable technology for the site processes and performance. The manager will oversee the maintenance program using the scheduler/planner and technical lead to effectively utilize the maintenance team. This position provides input to improve equipment design, reliability, and maintainability. The manager has a critical role in connecting field operations with engineering and maintenance focuses. This position reports directly to the Sr. Distribution Director JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability. • Uses PEAK (Performance, Engagement, Achievement, Knowledge) directed concepts to optimize work processes, adapt maintenance tools and procedures to improve equipment utilization and reliability, and minimize service quality incidents. • Keeps current with latest equipment, technologies, and maintenance methods. • Promotes importance of data and service quality within maintenance community. • Assists with the development and coaching of junior maintenance staff. • Supports All Levels of Management in planning for equipment, maintenance resources, and correcting existing discrepancies. • Ensures application of asset management and maintenance systems data are accurate and well documented. • Evaluates, reviews, develops and administers effective preventive and predictive maintenance (PPM) within the CMMS to support optimal machine performance. • Analyze equipment history to identify specific repetitive failures and effectively address identified areas. • Analyze planned downtime of equipment to develop and improve PPM schedules. • Review all equipment failures in order to determine ROOT CAUSE and what PPM action might have been taken to prevent failure and to protect against reoccurrence. Revise PM instruction accordingly. • Regularly review downtime reports and equipment histories to identify recurring maintenance problems requiring engineering attention, therefore finding engineering solutions to the identified situation. • Develop job scope for major unique jobs by working with Associate Maintenance Manager as necessary. • Identify training required to improve craft skill levels or repair techniques based upon data and field observations. • Coordinate, oversee and evaluate/accept work performed by outside contractors. • Identify and develop predictive technologies and source necessary equipment necessary to carry out activities to increase equipment availability. • AutoCad updates of site plans and changes • Maintain C-TPAT and FTZ responsibilities as directed by director including security and guard procedures • Coordinates and organizes CCT planning and activities for fiscal year and next. • Other duties as assigned. JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Drive for Results • Teamwork • Decision Making • Excellent presentation and communication skills both written and verbal. • Interpersonal savvy and negotiating skills. • Teamwork and project management skills. • Strategic thinking, innovation and problem solving. • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously Basic Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field and 4 years of work experience in an Engineering role • Strong background in equipment maintenance or engineering. • Strong root cause and failure analysis skills • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Cost Management and budgetary control ideas. • Working knowledge of applying statistical data to develop predictive maintenance. • Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify equipment improvements, manage change and implement solutions. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to use Microsoft Office Products, intermediate working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, and AutoCAD. Equipment Maintenance Technician

Job Summary This is a Maintenance Team Member role that involves performing repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and building at our Distribution Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial maintenance, specifically with electronic technology and troubleshooting complex problems with equipment. You will be working as part of a team to support the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment. You will also utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand workload and record actions. • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.). Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in a related field preferred. • 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience specializing in electronic technology; or 3+ years of general maintenance experience with strong mechanical aptitude. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and work independently. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
