Primary Responsibilities • Design and develop electromechanical assemblies and supporting parts, including: Electronics enclosures and packaging, mobile platforms, machined and sheet metal parts, 3D printed parts. • Create Technical Data Packages up to MIL-STD-31000 Level II requirements. • Contribute to program planning, risk mitigation, and requirements development. • Collaborate with a team of engineers, technicians, and program staff to deliver unique solutions, on time. • Document and present ideas accurately and concisely at design reviews. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with two (2) years of applicable experience or master’s degree with less than two (2) years. • Mechanical design experience • 3D CAD and 2D drawing experience • Hands-on experience with electromechanical systems • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. • Candidate must be a resident of or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area Preferred Qualifications • SolidWorks CAD and 2D drawing experience • Cradle-to-grave design of electromechanical systems • Radar or sensor system experience • EPDM and/or Windchill PLM experience • Static FEA and thermal analysis experience Come break things (in a good way). Summary: The Mechanical Engineer IV provides mechanical engineering expertise in the early stages of design. They also coordinate project design and analyze complex construction problems. Lead the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation. Perform and document analyses.
