Mechanical Design/Mfg Engineer I

JOB SUMMARY: Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria, using judgment in making design decisions and/or modifications. Provide manufacturing engineering support to operations. ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES: • Analyze and design complex parts and assemblies to applicable standards. • Provide technical data and assist in decision making process that impact compliance with design specifications. • Assist in design, analysis of design, testing of design, and qualification of the design for production and sale to the public. • Participate on projects teams. • Create documents related to the design engineering function (i.e., layout drawings, detail drawings, assembly drawings, Bills of Materials, Engineering Change Orders, and design records). • Create documentation required to ensure the product can be produced as designed. • Identify and develop processes for engineering efficiencies (Change Order process, Special process, etc.). • Provide sales support by analyzing architectural layouts for special products. Design, develop, and cost the special product. SECONDARY DUTIES: • Develop and improve mechanical design processes for better efficiency. • Identify improvement opportunities and lead the implementation of process improvements to reduce cost, improve changeover, increase quality and repeatability. • Design tools and fixturing to improve the work piece holding capability for assembly and machining processes. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering is preferred. 2+ years of experience in a design engineering role, or equivalent combination of education and experience. What You'll Do: As a Superintendent, you’ll lead and manage field operations for assigned mechanical construction projects. You’ll oversee crews, coordinate materials and equipment, and ensure that each job site is safe, productive, and operating efficiently. Ideal Qualifications: • Minimum 6 years of experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction. Possession of at least one of the following: • Journeyman Plumbing License in the state of Kentucky • Journeyman HVAC License in the state of Kentucky • Prior supervisory experience on similar job sites or project scopes. • Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, welding, and mechanical systems. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents. • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills. • Proficiency in material takeoffs and scheduling coordination. • Excellent communication and team-building skills. • Dependable, safety-conscious, and adaptable to changing conditions. • Comfortable using electronic devices and job-related software. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. • Must pass a background check and drug screen. Manufacturing Engineer

Purpose/Summary Provides Advanced Engineering Support to Manufacturing.
