Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems and be adept at troubleshooting and repairing various machinery and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains, repairs, installs, trouble shoots electronic componentry including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and mechanical devices on equipment, along with any type of safety devices; maintains and repairs the physical structure of the plant; instructs other maintenance personnel as required; instructs other personnel on the proper use of equipment and electronic devices. DETAILED DUTIES: Assists in keeping and controlling inventory of spare parts, accessories and supplies; Management as to the status of maintenance projects and of inoperable or unsafe equipment; repairs electronic circuitry/components, equipment and buildings as required with the use of test meters, hand and power tools and equipment, welders, cutting torches, lift trucks, and other allied items necessary to complete the job assignment. Must be able to properly set-up and operate equipment using the necessary electronic testing devices and /or precision instruments, i.e.: micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc., for the purpose of equipment try-out or testing. Install and/or replace new, electronic componentry or related items on equipment as directed through schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, layout plans or verbal instructions. Perform any reasonable task as directed by management, keep equipment, machines, tools, and work area clean and orderly; abide by all Safety Rules and Policies; record and maintain records as required. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to read, understand, and communicate with others, blueprints, building codes, operation and service manuals, schematics and wiring diagrams, specifications and layout. Must be knowledgeable in machine shop operations, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, carpentry, and have the ability to disassemble, repair and assemble all electronic components, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s), machinery, and facilities using service manuals and common logic. Must have your own toolbox and basic tools. Be willing to attend or acquire the necessary training or education to incorporate industries ever changing technical advances.
