Basic Job Functions: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams, and is responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance team to gain results in safety, performance, operational reliability and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include execution of effective maintenance processes, team member training and development, identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities and project management. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Maintenance Technician – Full Time

Job Category: Maintenance Job Type: Full Time Job Location: Marion Maintenance technician is responsible to support all manufacturing functions to ensure efficient plant operations. These duties include the following: • Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment as necessary. The plant equipment can consist of overhead cranes/hoists, motors, gearboxes, forklifts, pumps and air compressors. • Welding: Fabricate/repair fixtures, baskets and racks used in the handling and conveyance of product through the galvanizing process. • Loading / unloading and operating an MZR (Zinc recovery) machine • Maintaining pre-flux filter press process, which includes cleaning the filter screens when required and understanding/operating the controls. Qualifications: • Welding knowledge – Certificate not required but should have 2-5 years of welding experience. • Good mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills • Be self-motivated and able to work on your own • Ability to operator a man lifts and work at heights of approx. 25’ • 2 to 5 years of maintenance related experience • Ability to operate a forklift The maintenance technician will work directly for the Maintenance Supervisor, who will assign projects and tasks to be worked on a daily / weekly basis. The maintenance technician is expected to be self-motivated and able to work on their own but will also take direction from the shift Lead Person or shift supervisor regarding manufacturing downtime situations. job summary: We are seeking a Process Engineer to support our production process, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to equipment design projects.
