3rd Shift Mechanical Maintenance

This role is crucial to ensuring the continuous operation of our facility and assembly operations. Essential Functions • General 5S duties • Quality checks of assembled parts • Validate production counts • Keep machines and presses operational using documented procedures • Align team members to production prioritization • Assist team members with quality or production issues as they arise • Ability to read, write, and perform basic functions on a computer through company systems and programs • Changeover of both manual and automated equipment • Mechanical aptitude of pneumatic functions with small equipment, such as bowl feeders, turn tables, and small presses Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment may be loud at times. Hearing protection is required in designated areas and available to all employees. Physical Demands • Must be able to lift and carry 35 pounds of material throughout the shift • Must be able to stand for long periods of time, including up to 8 hours • Manual skills and ability to handle small tools and equipment • Regularly required to talk and hear with team members Hours of Operation Alkon normal business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. However, hours may vary depending on shift needs. The hours of this night shift position will be 10:30pm to 7:00am. Mechanical Designer

Manufacturing Ind. Louis Freeman Company, Fremont, OH, US Freeman Company has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Designer role located in Fremont, OH. The Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing engineering drawings as specified on work orders, sketches or marked prints. This role also will support process engineering to create detailed process plans for programming and manufacturing departments. The Mechanical Designer will support the manufacturing improvement initiatives to increase manufacturing's equipment as well as personnel efficiency and utilization. Mechanical Designer KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Make necessary models and drawings to ensure design meets accepted engineering standards and project requirements. • Make appropriate calculations, research performance standards, and investigate material and component selection and types of construction to ensure design specifications are met. • Design various sections of tooling to meet required specifications. • Prepare bills of material and other paperwork per internal standards. • Attend and participate in design reviews for evaluation of work order requirements to design, and cost implications. • Change drawings in accordance with ECO procedure. • Check drawings and bills of materials as relates to assigned projects. • Represent design team in customer and final design reviews as required. • Ensure design considerations, concepts and calculations are documented and filed. Process Engineering Support • Meeting with production leadership to assess existing processes. • Drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates. • Performing risk assessments. Concept/Design/Process FMEA • Designing and testing process upgrades and new process systems. • Ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards. • Performing process simulations and troubleshooting issues. • Developing routines and best practices to ensure product quality. • Developing standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process. • Providing Management with process documents and standard operating procedures. • Monitoring upgrades systems. Other Duties And Responsibilities • Maintain departmental records and files. • Provide assistance to Marketing and Manufacturing departments as specified by supervisor. • Foster good Company/employee relations through motivation and excellent work habits. • Complete all project tasks within assigned schedule and allotted hours. • Provide input into job estimates as required. • Read and interpret work orders and specifications. • Perform other related duties as may be required. • Follow all applicable safety procedures and policies as outlined in the BMG Employee Handbook. • Maintain good housekeeping in work area. • Travel as required for the role. Education/Qualifications • A minimum of an Associate's Degree (2 years in Engineering Technology) or equivalent work experience • Work knowledge of trigonometry and geometry. • Working knowledge of drafting and design practices. • CAD drafting experience on fabricated structure and machine elements. • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma background preferred. • Impeccable attention to detail. • Positive team-oriented attitude. • Ability to plan, schedule, and problem solve effectively. Environment/Physical Requirements • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift 15 lbs. at times. • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities (i.e., climb stairs, ladders, etc.)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Process Engineering Manager to lead and support process improvement initiatives and engineering projects within our operations.
