Summary We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Maintenance Person to join our team at Atlas Bolt & Screw Company. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities by performing maintenance tasks that uphold our high standards of quality and efficiency. Summary Installs, documents, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment and physical structures in industrial establishments and uses appropriate equipment to create and make tooling to match part drawings by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment; Detects malfunction in equipment; Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts. · Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment. · Installs, programs, or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers, VFDs and troubleshoot servos. · Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tooling. · Able to read comprehend mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and other schematics. Education and/or Experience High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship; five to ten years minimum manufacturing maintenance experience. Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Computer Skills HMI experience preferred; Microsoft Word and Excel; Uniforms Atlas will cover the costs of uniforms (shirts and pants) required for this position. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations An Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus. Licensed to work with high voltage electrics. Other Skills, Qualifications and Abilities Fastener equipment experience a plus. Ability to: operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts; Fabricate and repair tables, benches, partitions, and other structures; perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines; Prepare requisitions for items to be purchased or repaired; Must be able to pass a driver's exam to operate a forklift. Must have valid driver’s license to drive company vehicles. Must pass a physical exam. Must be able to work late when needed. Tooling & Equipment Development: • Design and implement jigs, fixtures, tooling, and specialized machinery for fastener production. • Collaborate with maintenance and external vendors on tooling and equipment upgrades or modifications. • Specify and support the procurement of new equipment and manufacturing technologies. Quality & Compliance: • Work closely with Quality Control to ensure manufacturing processes meet product specifications and compliance standards. • Support FMEA development, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation. • Monitor process capability and drive statistical process control (SPC) initiatives. New Product & Process Introduction: • Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, and Production teams to support the introduction of new fastener products and processes. • Lead pilot runs, validate process performance, and ensure readiness for full-scale production. • Create detailed documentation including process sheets, standard work, and SOPs.
