We are currently seeking a Design Engineer who will be responsible for designing and developing solid models and 2D detail drawings for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders utilizing software like SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other computer systems tools. Your role will include verifying and approving drawings, ensuring compliance with established design standards, and compiling accurate cost estimates. Additionally, you will conduct stress calculations when necessary to ensure product integrity and performance. Effective communication with various departments will be essential to facilitate seamless information exchange throughout the design process. This position will work on location full-time at our Hayesville, Ohio manufacturing facility. What You’ll Do · Design and develop new and custom products according to project specifications using 3D software and stress analysis tools. · Create customer and manufacturing drawings for new and custom products with meticulous attention to precision and accuracy. · Upgrade drawings to adhere to the latest manufacturing and engineering standards. · Facilitate the quote process by creating comprehensive bill of materials for new designs and existing products. · Manage Engineering Change Notices to ensure smooth transitions into production. · Provide technical support in the shop as required to address challenges and maintain high-quality standards. · Maintain organized records and drawing files for easy accessibility and reference. · Collaborate with sales and production teams, offering engineering data and support to drive collective success. · Perform other duties as assigned, showcasing adaptability and dedication to team objectives.
