The Electro Mechanical Technician's primary responsibility is to maintain equipment in a proactive manner; identify, troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all factory equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to drive down performance losses and increase equipment reliability. Build operator technical skills and capability. PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES: • Maintain Factory Equipment – • Identify defects, execute maintenance plan and troubleshoot equipment. • Work in various areas of the plant including: Material handling and storage equipment. • Understand Power distribution system (up to 480 volts). • Control systems – Basic PLC, Motor, sensor, drives and Basic electrical circuits, Basic understanding of device communication networks. • Mechanical system – Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Mechanical Drive systems. • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills to maintain, optimize and improve production equipment, with key plant indicators such as safety, quality, cost. • Review maintenance plans and optimize to drive reliability of equipment. • Review required spare parts to keep maximize technical warehouse service factor. • Maintains engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical). • Build capability – • Coach operator skills- adjustments / changeovers for new and improvements in existing process. For example: new centerlines, improved cleaning process, improved changeover process, elimination of a SOC or HTRP. • Build technical procedures. • Train other technical resources and needed. • Use of continuous improvement system such as TPM / Lean. • CMMS system (AMM) – Access and utilize AMM to accurately document all maintenance activities in AMM • Identify and create Work orders. • Perform time entry and technical feedback on work performed. • Analyze data to improve the maintenance plan. • Improve / Create necessary task list. • Analyze line performance data and provide line improvement support based on findings and analysis. • Core Skills – Skills and behaviors expected. • Ability to work as a team. • Positive conflict resolution skills. • Accountable for personal development. • A strong commitment to improving line performance and reliability. • Maintain factory standards – perform required work in line with factory systems such as; SPC, QMS, Permit to work and other Nestle and Legal requirements.
