Job Summary .Must have previous motorcycle dealer experience. We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. Pay can exceed advertised amount. All based on experience. Duties • Conduct thorough inspections of machinery and equipment to identify issues. • Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques. • Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems. • Utilize an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical components. • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects. • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Mechanic or in a similar role, and have Bombardier experience. • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical components. • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as an ohmmeter. • Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues effectively. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. • Relevant certifications or training in mechanics is preferred but not required. Essential Functions • Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment. • Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment. • Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results. • Create manning plans based on volume forecasts for new programs. • Gives input to product design based on design for manufacture/design for assembly philosophy. • Designs, develops and tests and/or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods. • Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency. • Develop and document quality system for new programs (control plan, PFMEA, process flow, work instructions, and inspection plans.) • Coordinate and document all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities. • Calculate required dunnage usage. Design, test and order all necessary dunnage for new programs. • Develop and maintain documentation such as downtime, scrap, and efficiencies. • Utilize data such as downtime, scrap, efficiencies, etc. to plan and strategize countermeasures for equipment and process problems. • Leads or participates in Kaizen activities to ensure continuous improvement in processes, products, components, raw materials, and equipment. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with Three (3) TO five (5) years Engineering experience. Experience in automotive manufacturing industry is preferred. • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques. • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment. • Problem analysis and problem resolution. • Familiarity with current automotive standard and OSHA regulations. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational skills. • Ability to motivate team efforts to accomplish goals. • Must be proficient in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint. Some Access experience preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Physical Demands Required to sit or stand and move about the facility. Occasional lifting of items not to exceed 50 lbs. Work Environment Combination of office and plant environment. May be required to use safety glasses and wear steel toe shoes while performing specific tasks or while in specific manufacturing areas.
