Description: ABOUT THE ROLE The primary focus of this position is to execute tasks and assignments in the area of electrical, power and distribution maintenance and equipment delivering solutions and adding value. This position will support the company strategy to reach team goals and priorities. Position requires 60% national travel and may be located in Dundee, MI, Hagerstown, MD, Ste Genevieve, MO, Florence, CO, Addison/Midlothian, TX. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH • Review major mechanical safety incidents using root cause analysis and serious event reviews; provide a high level of support for safety specifically with safety observations, assessments, and audits. • Provide technical expertise in the fields of mechanical equipment such as grinding equipment, kilns, gears, reducers, fans, blowers, compressors, coolers, hydraulics, conveying systems, de dusting and filter equipment, preventive maintenance, NDT and welding techniques. • Clarify plant needs regarding the technical expertise required for complex mechanical needs, issues lined to design, operations, troubleshooting and maintenance, and request additional support from Corporate Cement Excellence - Manufacturing Team when needed. • Agree on mechanical assessments/audits to be performed in the region with corporate and lead or support as needed to identify weak areas and potential; identify improvement opportunities to maximize equipment life cycle and efficiency. • Support the planning, execution and supervision of complex jobs during major overhauls and provide appropriate information on equipment malfunctions or failures. • Collaborate with Project Management and Engineering in new projects and carry out design reviews on new and critical mechanical equipment to ensure maintainability. • Advise operations in developing an optimal replacement strategy for the main mechanical equipment and identify and recommend critical spare parts and follow up implementation; collaborate with the regional purchasing team in optimizing sourcing of electrical, power and distribution equipment and parts, materials and services. • Roll out new preventive maintenance routine and techniques, train others, and monitor progress • Provide regional or country experience back to Corporate to enrich know how and share best practices in electrical, power, distribution equipment expertise • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Instructor Mechanical Design Technology, Applied Sciences and Engineering Technology (ASET) Division

Classroom instruction in Mechanical Design program. Specific teaching assignments will include, but not be limited, to teaching Computer Aided Design (CAD) courses in the program using existing software and hardware. Specific courses to teach in the program would include basic CAD classes using AutoCAD, Basic and Advanced SolidWorks design software, CATIA, Geometric Tolerancing, Rapid Prototyping for Design and Capstone Design project course. Other teaching opportunities within the division may be available depending on qualification and interest in the subject area. Responsible for maintaining established programs and developing new and emerging curricula. Additional responsibilities for technology and laboratory management and coordination is required. As an integral member of the ASET Division, individual expected to develop effective collegial relationships, work closely with students, work with local employers, help convene advisory committees, and take part in the promotion of the division programs and the College in general. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design, Computer Aided Design, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or Equivalent. Teaching experience in an educational institution preferred. CSWA, CSWP in SolidWorks or equivalent certification or ability to attain the same before continuing status. Weld & Assembly Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY • Responsible for the development, follow-up and launching of new welding equipment, assembly tools, and processes to produce high quality prototype and production parts at required run rates. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Oversee supplier shops in the build of weld and assembly equipment. • Act as Midway's Manufacturing/Engineering representative to tool shops who have been awarded the responsibility to design and build assembly tools. Making sure that internal and customer specifications are followed including quality, cost, and timing constraints during the tool build. • Coordinate and participate in Design Reviews (Concept, 50% & 100%). • Responsible to complete design review documentation and distribute to all team members. • Track timing weekly by obtaining timelines from tool shops. • Conduct periodic reviews at the tool shops to validate and assure on time delivery of equipment. • Coordinate and participate in TSRO’s at tool shops. • Responsible for cell functionality and repeatability. • Responsible for cycle time of the equipment as designed and defined in the process payback study. • Responsible for 100% on time delivery of all equipment. • Responsible for weld quality – if applicable • Responsible for achieving part dimensional requirements per the customer specification • Assist in the processing and delivery of prototype parts by assuring the assembly processes are replicating production process intent, parts contain and meet part print specification, and provide updated information regarding engineering changes. Launch assembly processes in Midway plants • Overall lead and plant point of contact for assembly processes. • Coordinate with other Midway departments to provide a smooth and timely launch of equipment at the assigned Midway plant(s). • Work in partnership with Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, and Controls Group to significantly improve the tooling, equipment and processes delivered to our plants. • Develop new tooling and equipment to operate at our defined quoted rate or run rate defined in the process payback review conducted by the Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering team. • Work with Program Management on project objectives to meet the customer’s requirements. • Coordinate and participate in HLRO’s at Midway’s manufacturing plants. • Responsible to complete run off documentation. • Responsible for cell functionality and repeatability. • Reduce the start-up, launch, ‘debug’ time and cost of new tooling, equipment and process installation into our plants. Administrative • Review released parts/assembly prints to Midway for manufacturing weld and assembly feasibility. • Review released parts/assembly prints and the quoted process for cost savings. • As required, prepares requests for quote package (RFQ) to send out to tool shops for the design and building of tooling to produce the released parts. • Implement the request for purchase order package and submit for approval. • Maintain through familiarity with assembly developments and new materials in the industry which may be adaptable for use by our organization. • Originates and applies new and unique engineering methods. • Attend weekly APQP meetings and provide updates. • Perform other essential functions as assigned.
