Night crew would get an additional $0.65 cent shift differential. Shift: 12hr nights 6pm-6am 2-2-3 work schedule The Mechanical Utility position will have general duties such as rack repair including but not limited to green tire racks, wing carts, tread trays, etc. Will also have responsibilities such as fire watch, confined space watch, and assisting Millwrights with repairs such as conveyor belts, heavy items, line shaft, etc. Mechanical Utility will have assigned work specific to individual departments as well as tasks that cover the entire plant. Required tools will be welding helmet and support equipment, cutting torch, cutoff tool, band saw as well as general hand tools such as small portable toolbox, gloves, wrench set, allen wrench set (SAE & Metric), hammer, wire brush, etc. Ideal candidates for the Mechanical Utility position have PIT Operation experience, read general prints and follow job plans. • Punctuality and attendance are extremely important to the success of the operations in general as well as contributing to an overall positive team atmosphere. Dependable job attendance is expected. Intern/Co-op - Refining Mechanical Engineer Spring 2026

The majority of Mechanical Engineering co-ops and interns enter into the following positions: Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineers develop and use project management skills to create project scopes, estimates, and schedules. MPC will provide training and educational opportunities to help you develop your knowledge of other engineering disciplines. Reliability Engineers support the refinery's Maintenance Department through design and development of equipment related improvements. Such improvements include root cause failure analysis, optimization of maintenance programs in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.), and troubleshooting fixed equipment (refinery pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, etc.). Reliability Engineers will also be continuously challenged to find new technology in design, materials and repair methods to achieve refinery goals of longer running times at lower costs.
