PREREQUISITES • High school diploma or GED. • Minimum five years motor shop experience. • Minimum one year experience in outside mechanical service. • Valid California driver license with driving record that meets company criteria. • Able to lift 50 pounds. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. • Ability to climb ladders and/or use other high reach equipment. • Ability to perform repetitive motions. • Wear safety toe footwear. JOB DUTIES • Replace or repair electro mechanical equipment in the field. • Rig electro mechanical equipment in and out of place in various facilities. • Install and terminate electric motors. • Perform hot and cold alignments on various motors. • Perform field balancing of rotating equipment. • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis. • Observe all safety procedures and use proper PPE. • Perform other duties as directed. EQUIPMENT USE • Alignment equipment, balancing equipment, A-frame and chain fall, hand and power tools, welder, computer, printer/scanner/copier, telephone and fax. WORK HOURS AND ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS • Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm; overtime, weekends, holidays and on-call as required. WORKING CONDITIONS • Shop, various plants and office environment ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED • Mechanically inclined. • Ability to promote strong company image through extensive and direct customer contact. • Strong communication skills.
