Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong HVAC background to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex mechanical construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with deep knowledge of HVAC systems, project controls, scheduling, and financial management. The Mechanical Project Manager will act as the primary liaison with general contractors, clients, and project stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred). • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience managing mechanical/HVAC construction projects. • Strong knowledge of project management processes, budget control, scheduling, and estimating. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Bluebeam. • Experience with project management software such as Primavera (P6), Microsoft Project, Procore, Prolog, or Viewpoint Vista. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, including engineers, union trades, and clients. • Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Mechanic performs general mechanical maintenance duties, repairs, welding, replacements, rebuilding and installing components using a variety of tools, specialized equipment & instruments; maintain the plant's mechanical assets to minimize breakdowns; preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing the plant's mechanical assets. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: • Perform minor mechanical repairs to mobile/heavy equipment. • Perform inspections, repairs, and rebuilds on all plant equipment. • Perform necessary preventative maintenance checks and repairs. • Maintain tools in safe and good working condition. • Maintain a safe and clean work area. • Report any potential operational or safety problems to supervision. • Submit notifications, follow work orders, record detailed repair history and parts used. • Perform all work assigned in a neat and orderly manner, strictly adhering to company and governmental safety rules and regulations. • Understand the installation and maintenance of all types of bearings. • Perform shaft repairs using precision tools. • Must be able to disassemble and rebuild all types of screening and conveying equipment. • Able to use equipment manuals, parts lists or blue prints to properly install, repair, or order parts. • Ensure all parts are available before starting job. • Complete and document Workplace or Vehicle Inspections in a timely manner. • Improve skills by participating in vendor and company-designated training. • Ability to weld cut and grind using various pieces of equipment. • Sometimes the nature, location and type of repair work performed in the field requires manual lifting, pulling, pushing and working in unusual and difficult positions. Observe mechanical equipment in operation to trouble shoot and identify problems. • Overhaul large gear boxes and drive units in the maintenance shop; replace all shapes and sizes of wear liners in rock chutes. • Must have experience with belt and bucket conveyor repairs and operation. • Must have complete understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drive systems. • Must be proficient in cutting and welding, using hand tools, air tools, grinders, come-along, hydraulic presses, cut-off saw in performing required work. • Must participate in the work order initiation process when required. • Must ensure all inventory parts are correctly charged from Stores and assist with procurement of parts used as per LNA procedures. SAFE QUALITY FOOD (SQF): • Ensure a SQF workplace and in regulatory compliance with Federal FDA - Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, , Part 507). • Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs. • Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture. • Ensure employees have a clear understanding of expected safety and SQF performance and the required training. • Ensure proper training programs are implemented for new employees and continued for existing employees. • Actively participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF and environmental compliance at the site. ATTRIBUTES: • Communicate in English, clearly and effectively in both oral and in written forms. • Must have a telephone and be receptive to call-outs. • Industrial background with good troubleshooting skills. • Knowledge of basic computer skills. • Must function as a journeyman mechanic. • A minimum of three years of experience in industrial maintenance. • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with supervisors and peers. • Must be capable of working shift work, seven days a week. • Must have welding experience. • Self-Motivated and must be able to work independently. PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Must be physically able to perform work assigned. • Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations. • Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 150 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. • Will be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a lime/mineral environment. • The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Lime/Mineral Particles. • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting. • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
