QUALIFICATIONS Must have experience in all trades (electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, appliances, etc.) Demonstrated knowledge and skill in performing quality work; able to use required tools and machinery; professional interaction with co-workers, residents and vendors; knowledge and continued education of OSHA requirements; knowledge of MSDS requirements appropriate to the scope of work. Ability to read and interpret service orders and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public. High school diploma or GED, technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintenance Engineer

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the resort’s facilities and systems to the highest luxury standards, ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This role includes performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and adhering to safety and security protocols. In close collaboration with the engineering team, the Resort Engineer ensures the property runs smoothly while preserving the resort’s elegance and comfort. Key Responsibilities: • Provides professional and courteous service at all times. • Performs all maintenance and preventative maintenance, including: refrigeration (HVAC), heating, plumbing, water treatment, front and back of house spaces, ice machines, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, roof exhausts, etc. • Performs maintenance checks of equipment, maintains accurate logs and records as required to ensure regulatory compliance to facility regulations, and ensures safety standards and procedures are followed. • Monitors and documents electric, gas and water consumption. • Ensures all projects are completed according to specifications and are completed on time, as determined by the Director of Engineering. • Performs inventory duties as required. • Conducts regular inspections of resort rooms, common areas, grounds, and back-of-house facilities • Understands and practices all lockout/tagout procedures in accordance with OSHA standards. • Reports all safety and security concerns to the Director of Engineering or the Lead Engineer immediately. • Ensures all key inventories are secure. • Responds to service requests for rooms and common areas. • Responds in a swift, courteous, and professional manner to resolve guest issues and staff difficulties. • Responds to all emergency situations prepared to assist. • Participates in ongoing maintenance programs for event space, public spaces and kitchens. • Ensures cleanliness and orderliness of all workspaces and storage areas. • Attends staff meetings as required. Requirements: • Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC preferred. • FSD and EPA certification preferred not mandatory. • Resort/Hospitality Experience preferred but not mandatory. • Possess general repair skills such as; plumbing, painting, carpentry, electrical, and other general repair skills. • Display skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, along with other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. • Work well within a variety of situations. • Solve problems using facts and personal judgment. • React quickly in emergency situations and make decisions that may involve valuable equipment or the safety of others. • Work with different kinds of people as a team in the execution of duties. • Change easily and frequently from one activity to another. • Be available on nights, weekends and holidays. • Must be well groomed and in proper uniform while on duty. • **Transition Management is an equal employment opportunity employer.
