Based in our Sidney, OH location, you will work in conjunction with product and project engineers to design, develop, and qualify HVACR systems and their components. To maintain our role as a global leader of compression solutions, we continually seek talented and ambitious technicians to work in our engineering laboratories. We are seeking a 1st shift Systems Solutions laboratory technician to contribute to our growth and continued innovation. AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: • Follow engineering laboratory instructions to perform testing. • Set up and install HVACR systems for testing purposes. • Operate laboratory test equipment, including environmental chambers, calorimeters, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire system and component performance data and characteristics. • Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests. • Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards. • Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab. • You will be responsible for completing required tests and communicating test results with engineers and others. • You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS: • Associate's degree plus two to three (2-3) years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Must have HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills relative to the role. • Must have troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Must have personal computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office programs. • Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role. SCHEDULE: This position is for 1st shift and would consist of four 10-hour workdays or five 8-hour workdays and would be eligible for voluntary overtime.
