AS A MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL: • Follow engineering laboratory instructions to perform testing. • Set up and install HVACR systems for testing purposes. • Operate laboratory test equipment, including environmental chambers, calorimeters, data acquisition systems, and other measuring equipment used to acquire system and component performance data and characteristics. • Fabricate supporting test fixtures and controls required for non-standard tests. • Review test data for compliance with applicable test data standards. • Perform various tasks related to the upkeep of the lab. • You will be responsible for completing required tests and communicating test results with engineers and others. • You will provide input on optimizing work processes to improve the overall efficiency of the lab.
