FULL JOB DESCRIPTION PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Research, develop, and improve existing manufacturing processes as well as investigating alternative processes. · Direct the activities of the engineering department. Provide technical assistance and support to other departments. · Complete inputs for successful launches of new projects. · Research and analyze data such as customer design proposals, specifications determine feasibility of design application. · Contribute to development of manufacturing process plans per the product technical requirements. · Ensure all design and requirements are satisfied in the manufacturing process · Conduct and evaluate potential new processes and provide recommendations for capital expenditures. · Must be familiar with CNC machine construction. · Design, assemble, and test manual and automated machinery required to improve current processes. · Conduct hands on investigations and provide improvements in the manufacturing process. · Plan and execute machines installation, commissioning, verification, and validation. · Project planning for maintenance and management. REQUIREMENTS · BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. · Minimum 8 years of experience in the engineering field. · Must be familiar with CNC machine construction · Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor design software. · Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and experience with Microsoft Project. · Experience with mechanical design and building or troubleshooting of special machines. Duties Include: • Safely provide Mechanical services to perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs to industrial-manufacturing machinery and equipment • Use preventative and predictive maintenance techniques to maintain machinery and equipment health • Effectively troubleshoot and solve equipment issues while working with cross functional teams (Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Contractors) • Follows established safety rules and regulations • Safely use hand tools and power tools • Construct, assemble, install, repair, maintain and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment, according to layout plans, blue prints, and other drawings • Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot the following: pumps, mechanical-power transmission components (belts, chains, gears, reducers, variable-speed drives, shafts, sheaves, couplings, clutches, brakes), machine rolls, hydraulic & pneumatic components, cylinders, valves, fans/blowers, conveyors, bearings, tapes, hoists, cranes, elevators, mechanical seals and other equipment as directed • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs on a variety of equipment • Move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and various powered industrial vehicles • Maintain accurate shop records on all responsible equipment and services • Keeps work areas and shop areas clean and compliant with 5S standards • Accepts a reasonable amount of overtime and emergency call in work beyond normal working hours • Performs other work as directed by Supervisor in a flexible team environment Qualifications • Must have 5 or more years of Industrial Maintenance Experience. • Journeyman Card Preferred • Ability to construct, assemble, repair and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment • Ability to understand schematic diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other OEM specifications • High standard of integrity and professionalism • Must have mechanical aptitude consistent with maintenance-employee norms • Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities • Ability to follow directions, and manage multiple tasks • Dependable, organized, cooperative, and team oriented • Conscientious, self directed and disciplined • Must be able to work 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts including weekends and Holidays Compensation: The hourly rate range is $34.07 - $37.00 per hour. Holiday hours worked are paid at double-time, Sunday hours are paid at time & a half, and shift differential is paid on 2nd and 3rd shifts.
