SUMMARY: Mechanical Designer/Drafter is responsible for designing and creating drawings of custom hydraulic cylinders. This role requires working with the designated Engineer to develop conceptual layouts, final designs, detail drawings and all the associated BOMs using the latest 3D modeling software, Product Data Management (PDM) system and ERP system. Based on experience and skill level, the candidate will either start off in the Drafter position or as a Designer. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Using SolidWorks 3D CAD system, develop solid models, create detail drawings and bill of materials, and complete project documentation for new products. • Design mechanical components and products. • Process Engineering Changes for product improvements. • Select purchased parts needed to complete design work. • Provide technical support for other departments including materials review, non-conforming product analysis, process improvements, and sales efforts. • Work in a manufacturing environment, including providing technical support, troubleshooting, and hands-on assistance. • Performs other duties as requested.
