Municipal Engineer Sr. (Division of Engineering)

SALARY The minimum salary is $81,798.08 annually. This position is not eligible for overtime (exempt); however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty hours. Pay Grade 528 FILING DEADLINE DATE Open until filled GENERAL DESCRIPTION The purpose of this position is to manage public infrastructure projects by performing advanced level engineering duties that protect the welfare of the public and the environment for capital, storm and sanitary sewer, residential, and/or commercial development and construction, from conception to completion. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field • Six (6) years of engineering experience • Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Manages major projects involving preparation, review, and supervision of designs, specifications, plans, contracts, applications, estimates, and reports involved in the construction and operation of a wide variety of civil engineering work • Performs field surveys, inspections, investigations, and/or evaluations • Manages project funding, grants, invoices, and payments • Prepares for and attends Committee, Commission, Council, and other related meetings • Maintains communication with all internal and external stakeholders and responds to all requests and inquiries • Supervises, trains, and evaluates the work of subordinates and/or contractors • Performs related work as assigned SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION • Valid Kentucky Professional Engineer License • Those with an equivalency from another State must obtain a Kentucky Professional Engineer License within six (6) months of employment as a condition for permanent appointment SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS • May be subject to work weekends, Holidays, and callback duty • In accordance with CAO Policy 23R "Acquisition of Real Property From Property Owners under Certain Notices and/or Orders", no employee who works in a Division with regulatory or civil enforcement authority over real property located in Fayette County shall acquire an interest in real property in Fayette County with any outstanding citation, notice or order from the Division in which he or she works regardless of whether the citation, notice, or order was issued by the employee or someone else in the Division. Electrical / Mechanical RF Engineer

Applied Research Associates, Inc.'s (ARA) offices in Lafayette, CO and Huntsville, AL are looking for an Electrical / Mechanical RF Engineer with expertise in both manufacturing and test of RF related hardware. This individual will be Involved in both development and production sides of antennas, arrays, radomes, RF/DC circuits, filters, amplifiers, feed networks, baluns, and RF absorber treatments. The Electrical / Mechanical RF Engineer role focuses on the implementation and manufacturability of antenna related designs and the formulation and execution of fabrication and measurement processes to support their realization. You will use various CAD software tools to generate artworks and solid models as required, as well as a variety of CNC machines and RF test equipment. This is a hands-on position whereby the candidate must be comfortable and able to safely operate electrical, chemical, and heavy equipment. Salary range: $70,000-75,000/year, depending upon skills and experience.
