Industrial Engineering Assistant

Summary: Industrial Engineer Assistant is the entry level classification in the Industrial Engineering section. This assistant will learn and perform a variety of duties in the operation of our manufacturing processes while working with the current IE department members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Supports all manufacturing functions: Assembly, Paint, Fabrication, Maintenance, Design Engineering, etc. · Write new assembly instructions and update current work instructions for different production areas, including new and current models. · Documents assembly processes with photos. · Assists with process improvements and implementation. · Develop tooling requirements and assembly fixture. · Assists with the tool inventory, order new tools, and pass out power tools & hand tools from our inventory. · Perform studies as required. · Assist with assembly line balancing for improving production efficiency. · Collaborates with other departments as required for projects. EDUCATION & TRAINING (Preferred) • Associate’s degree in industrial engineering technology or related field desirable, or at least two years of experience working in a manufacturing facility. • Certificates or training in Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, Production Management, Quality, or another relevant field desirable. KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: • Have some mechanical aptitude and experience with a variety of power tools and hand tools. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and related software. Must be able to write new work instructions, edit current work instructions, and add / delete pictures in Excel. • Basic knowledge of production machinery, processes, and standards. • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and battery powered tools, (examples: air ratchets, drills, ¼ drivers, sanders, grinders, etc.). • Basic knowledge of hand tools, (examples: torque wrenches, screwdrivers, taps / dies, rachets & sockets, cutters, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS • Requires good written and verbal communication skills with others and work effectively with company personnel on all levels. • Ability to work unsupervised to accomplish desired goals and meet deadlines. • Critical thinking, planning, and detail oriented. • Reliable, skilled in time management, and maintains excellent attendance. • Understands and supports company policies and procedures. • Proactively observes all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations. • Current employees should exhibit ability to follow Denyo rules regarding breaks, smoking, cell phone use, etc. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Physically capable and available to work overtime including some weekends, holidays, or evenings as required. • Able to lift, carry, push or pull 1 – 50 lbs. occasionally. • Have good manual dexterity. • Can squat / kneel, bend / stoop, twist / turn, reach overhead and outward occasionally. • Sit, stand, and walk for 8 hours per day or more. • Ability to work both in a 55 – 90-degree Fahrenheit manufacturing plant and in an office work environment. • Some exposure to mechanical & electrical hazards and chemical substances used in the plant. • Work in a fast-paced industrial environment wearing eye protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate personal protective equipment as required. Position Summary We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Process Safety Engineer to join our Carbon operations team in Danville, Kentucky. This role will focus on managing and maintaining our Environmental, Health and Safety programs with specific focus on Process Safety Management and Risk Management Program (PSM/RMP) related to propane storage and the use of it in our carbon manufacturing processes. You will play a critical role in ensuring our processes meet safety, regulatory, and internal compliance standards while supporting continuous improvement. Essential Functions • Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s PSM Standard (29 Code of Federal Regulations 1910.119) and EPA’s RMP standard (40 Code of Federal Regulations Part 68, Program Level 3). • Lead and conduct Process Hazard Analysis for the site. • Own and manage specification and document control processes to ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulatory requirements. • Lead and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) activities, ensuring all process changes are properly evaluated, documented, and communicated. • Serve as the subject matter expert on process safety and compliance requirements, providing guidance and training to cross-functional teams. • Become an SME in process gas utilization for carbon manufacturing as it relates to safety and environmental compliance. • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, safety, and operations teams to identify risks and implement mitigation strategies. • Monitor regulatory updates and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and recommend necessary process adjustments. • Support internal and external audits related to process safety and compliance programs. • Maintain detailed records and reports on process safety performance and compliance status. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process safety, risk reduction, and operational excellence. • The individual in this position will perform any other tasks properly assigned by site Leadership Qualifications • Bachelor degree in chemical/mechanical engineering or related discipline is required. • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in process engineering, process safety, or compliance roles within manufacturing or chemical processing environments. • Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) standards and Risk Management Program (RMP) requirements. • Can read and comprehend mechanical and electrical prints. • Experience with specification management, document control, and Management of Change (MOC) processes. • Project Management and team leadership abilities • Familiarity with relevant regulations (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, NFPA standards, etc.). • Computer skills, including utilization of various software including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Working knowledge of manufacturing equipment, facilities support systems and equipment. • Preferred: Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO, AS9100) and document control software. Quality Engineer II - Manufacturing/NPI

Job Description We're looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer II that will lead/enable Manufacturing Quality at Honeywell Intelligrated London Manufacturing Plant, to drive the 14 elements of Quality Management System maturity improvement, to apply their expertise and knowledge to ensure repeatable, cost-effective means to execute quality management for manufacturing process output and continuous improvements.
