This position will report directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Systems Manager. McCain Foods is seeking someone who has a strong technical background, a desire to grow as a leader in the engineering department. The ideal candidate needs excellent interpersonal skills as they will deal with everyone from general laborers and mechanics to plant management on a day-to-day basis. Key Responsibilities: • Follow the McCain safety, loss prevention and environmental programs by holding themselves and all team members accountable to its tenets • Manage or assist with multi-million-dollar capital projects • Assists Engineering Manager with reliability analysis of new designs to determine system, asset and component reliability • Makes specific recommendations to the Engineering Management Team to improve machinery performance and reliability based on analysis of process and failure data • Direct and lead those maintaining and developing reliability KPI’s (% worker utilization, % schedule adherence, etc.) in conformance with McCain standards • Direct and lead the maintenance of a record keeping system consistent with a world class reliability program • Responsible to perform statistical analysis on machinery failure data and work order data to determine whether adjustments to the Engineered Maintenance Strategy are warranted and perform cost/benefit analysis to set correct frequency of task(s) • Leads the Root Cause Failure Analysis effort for sporadic equipment failures and ensure failure modes addressed are appropriate • Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications: • Education: minimum Undergraduate degree in Engineering required. • Can communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written work • Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills • Strong analytical skills (e.g., root cause analysis and statistical analysis) • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports • Certification preferred in equipment lubrication, ultrasound, vibration, and reliability. • Displays vision and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity Why You Should Join Our Team: McCain offers full benefits including health, vision, and dental insurance.
