Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Location: Kirksville, Missouri Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 + benefits Position Overview: We are seeking for a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.You'll also play a crucial role in delivering hands-on care and helping patients regain their independence. Job Responsibilities: Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, and other modalities. Document patient progress and communicate with the Physical Therapist regarding any changes in the patient's condition. Ensure patients are following prescribed treatment plans and provide encouragement and motivation during their rehabilitation. Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment. Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, exercises, and other relevant therapeutic techniques. Ensure patient safety at all times during treatments and exercises. Qualifications, Licenses, and Certifications: Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. Active and valid PTA licensure in the state of Missouri. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
