Job Title: Compliance Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Compliance Engineer to join our team. You will work closely with third-party vendors and managers to devise EMC and EMI testing to comply with various standards such as UL, IEC, and GSA regulations. This role involves creating tests, interpreting and analyzing code related to lighting products, and assisting suppliers in understanding product lines for testing. Additionally, you will lead compliance testing efforts. The Musco Application Engineering Team is currently seeking a Project Engineer to work from our Oskaloosa office. This position will provide technical leadership associated to providing design solutions aligned with sales goals and initiatives as they relate to lighting projects located within the United States. What you will do as a Project Engineer: • Assess and define customer’s values and technical requirements associated with each assigned project. • Define appropriate solution using Musco products and documentation needed to support Musco’s sales strategy. • Create custom lighting solution utilizing proprietary software. • Create built to order production documents including bill of materials, loading list, & special build drawings. • Review project specifications and bid plans to ensure structural, electrical, lighting design and controls are meeting the codes and requirements of the published documentation. • Communicate technical information, both written and verbal, to architects, engineers, specifiers, sale representatives, contractors and internal team members. Able to simplify and explain complex concepts. • Design/apply custom controls. • Provide initial and secondary check of production documents, verifying accuracy of all components. • Prepare technical presentation material and drawings utilizing CAD and other software programs • Fine tune/ field aim Musco products • Other duties as assigned What you need to be successful: • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related technical degree is , or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD • Proficient computer skills • Mechanical and electrical experience • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple projects at a given time. • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Good interpersonal skills; ability to work well with internal and external team members • Strong technical aptitude with attention to detail • Previous Lighting design knowledge a plus but not required.
