Join us as a Sr Mechanical Engineer Your main responsibilities PRIMARY FUNCTION / POSITION OVERVIEW: • Plan and implement fabrication and assembly of prototype components as determined by design complexity. • Interprets requirements and specifications to fully understand the systems required for the components being used. • Participate in change management activities within the supply chain organization. • Actively support global development and implementation activities as a technical resource. • Lead implementation/execution efforts related to new product and changes to existing product lines at our factory or within our vendor base. • Technical project management coordinator for non- and cross-functional project members / tasks • Lead cross-functional teams as required within a project. • Review new product proposals and changes to existing product line materials. • Validate the accuracy of manufacturing documentation and ensure quality of information to our manufacturing and vendor base. • Propose, plan, implement, and support activities aimed at efficiency improvement and best in class manufacturing practices through process optimization and/or product development. • Adheres to all safety procedures and company safety standards while working in the office, shop floor and installation sites. • Adheres to the corporate compliance policy and ensures that behavior in the workplace is that of a responsible professional. • Works under general supervision, relies on limited instructions and pre-established guidelines. • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. • Uses computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. • Contributes to a team environment. • Required travel: Less than 20%. What you bring MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL: • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electro-Mechanical Engineering. FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL EXPERTISE: • Minimum 2 -4 years of related experience preferred. • Comprehension of general mechanical engineering concepts required. • Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred. • Possess excellent customer service skills. • Demonstrated experience of working in a team environment. • Possess strong decision-making abilities. • Possess effective verbal, written and presentation skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). • Demonstrated experience in using computer-assisted design software such as PTC Creo and AutoCAD. • Demonstrated experience with hands on assembly of mechanical equipment a plus. • Possess the ability to closely follow instructions and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the functions of the job. • Ability to work with suppliers/3rd parties. • Experience supporting manufacturing/field operations a plus. • Experience with measurement equipment and quality control concepts.
