Job Overview This position performs critical tasks in operating hydraulic excavation equipment for the installation/upgrades of underground utilities, including communications conduit, gas, water, sewer, electric, and more. • Loading and unloading equipment safely to prevent damage. • Transporting associated tools, materials, and/or equipment securely. • Daily inspection of equipment prior to commencing work to ensure readiness. • Operating equipment to assist in placing underground utilities efficiently. • Locating existing underground utilities and verifying them according to blueprints accurately. • Identifying utilities in the construction area and bore path to minimize risks. • Connecting/stubbing-up conduit and wire as required for seamless operations. • Digging pits, trenches, or potholes as needed, including windows when crossing utilities safely. • Restoring and/or landscaping disturbed areas of the jobsite effectively. • Accurately completing all required documentation for each assignment promptly. • Performing other duties assigned to help the team complete a project successfully.
