The Principal Engineer – Mechanical performs high level, engineering analysis, design or re-design, validation and troubleshooting of complex components for heavy duty vehicles. Provide integration and execution support for vehicle and component design. Provide technical mentorship in high level analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems in accordance with engineering standards and project scope. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and five (5) or more years of related experience. Obtain forklift operators certification as well as articulating and scissors style lift. Basic Qualifications • 3-5 years' experience with Lock-Out-Tag out procedures, and be willing to wear PPE Arc Rated clothing up to 8 cal/cm2 • Be flexible to changing shift times when needed. • 3-5 years' experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably continuous manufacturing) is required. • Able to walk throughout the plant, climb ladders, twist, and bend routinely. • Properly assemble, clean, repair, and reassemble complex mechanical devices. • Ability to measure parts and rough sketch/describe. • Lift and move up to 75 pounds on a routine basis using proper lifting techniques. • Ability to read assembly drawings and P&ID's. • Demonstrate a work history of going beyond job boundaries and a work history of assuring safety for personnel and equipment before equipment is removed from or released into service. • Communication skills. • Knowledge of general plant layout. • Fire protection Systems: know the differences in various fire extinguishers and be able to use them properly. Mechanical Installer

Mechanical Installer $20-21/hr Main Accountabilities Core purpose: Under general supervision, the Mechanical Installer will be responsible for the installation of various type of equipment per manufacturer's specifications found in transit light and heavy rail vehicles. The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, crouching, squatting, bending and kneeling. The position may require weekend and/or holiday work. This work must be done in accordance to accepted standards of the trade, supervisory direction, Company established procedures, practices, and specifications. Main Tasks & Responsibilities: • Following a pre-established schedule for the installation of equipment on transit vehicles including those associated with propulsion, trucks, pneumatic supply and brake control, air conditioning, fiberglass panels, glass, flooring, doors as required to achieve manufacturer specifications. • Uses precision measuring devices in the course of the work. • Measures and inspects completed work to confirm adherence to specifications. • Record all findings accurately in provided Test Reports, for inclusion into Car History Books that follow each completed vehicle such as torque values, part and serial numbers. • Performs modifications to rail vehicle as directed by engineering and supervisory staff. • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, manuals and work orders. • Documents work performed and parts and materials used; follows specified safety procedures. • May perform welding and burning. • Using and maintaining hand and power tools equipment of the trade. • Maintaining accurate records of work performed and materials used.
